This amazing GTR came in a few weeks ago for a protection detail.
The car was wrapped Nardo Grey a week before coming in and was already starting to pick up a lot of contamination.
These wraps need to be protected with specialist waxes with different solvent carriers to a regular wax, so that the vinyl isn't damaged or degraded.

Barely any photos on this one I'm afraid.

Wheels cleaned with AF Imperial, Iron Out, Verso for the arches.
Pre-wash with AF Avalanche. Hog hair brushes in the tight bits and rubber trims.
Washed with Later and 2 bucket method.

The car was dried using compressed air and a twisted towel from Bouncer's.

I don't know if you can make it out in the photo, but I tried a 50/50 of the deep cleanse stage.
The left hand side is as it was, the right hand side after being cleansed.

The car then received its first wax layer.

The glass was clayed, polished and sealed with Bouncer's Drop & Roll.

Auto Finesse Revive was used to dress all plastics and rubbers.
Zaino Z2 and Auto Finesse Temptation for the Carbon.
Tyres with Gyeon.
Interior cleaned with AF Total and Hide.
A final layer of wax and wipe down with ODK Entourage.

Thanks for reading :)

Looks flipping good that. I quite fancy a GTR one day.

However, questions as always from me.

Window cleaner or wax first ? I dont like the way the window cleaner stuff goes on the paintwork even if mega careful. Will it degrade / reduce / clean the wax off ?

Do you use any particular product for carbon goodness ?

Cheers @andybond :)

I'd love a GTR, so much car for the money.
I like to clean the glass as the very last step, but I mix it up from time to time.
If the glass cleaner goes all over the shop, you're probably using too much.
A light mist on a cloth is enough, wipe it over, then grab a dry, clean cot and go back over the glass ;)

I shall adapt my style and mist the cloth THEN the window.
Andy, it looks like you missed Scratcher's point. With many modern window
cleaners, less is definitely more! So, spray/mist just your cloth.

However, there is one product from the Finish Kare range that makes
cleaning windows a complete breeze, by bringing a one-cloth method of
application. Finish Kare #146 Anti-Static Poly Wipe is your saviour as
you can use it anywhere, including the windscreen. Basically, it's a
kind of waterless wash product, but it's a bit more refined than that.

You can spray / mist either the cloth or glass, wipe over the glass until
it's clean. Turn the cloth over for a quick wipe if you used too much.

With a single MF cloth you have 8 working sides, use one each for the
windscreen and rear window, two for side windows. Trick is in having
a dry side opposite a damp one - can it be done? :)

Regards,
Steve

great work strikes again mate

what's you opinions on bouncers products ?? tuff competition for AF ??

Thanks bud :)
I really like Bouncer's. Everything is hand made by Jay himself. Nothing gets released until it's absolutely perfect.

Auto Finesse are very well established now with an amazing range.
I don't know if I'd recommend one over the other. Auto Finesse have a more complete product so you can do everything start to finish, but Bouncer's products are all superb quality too.
It's all down to personal taste really. I'd happily use either company.
Auto Finesse send me lots of cars though :ag:
