My Quadra

There will be precious little movement on this thread for the next umpteen years , so I would worry too much Andy

Well I'v got this week off work, and I'v spent yesterday and today fitting the new rad and sorting out the boost hose. I haven't had to modify the car much, just flatten off the front lip on the lower cross member. But all I'v got to do is sort out the new rad hoses and drop off a couple of bit to be ally welded.
This pic is from yesterday, so not the final fit

Whats the target before the end of the week? Would be good to hit a milestone. Looks great in the flesh too. Cant wait to give you a run for your money at Santa Pod....

Dude, its her-in-doors birthday tomorrow, so a right off. Friday.... want to get the mounts for the new rad sorted and the boost hose done. That means I can measure up for the new rad hoses and get them ordered. Then its sent off to get the wiring and running in map done.

Looking good, there could be nearly enough running 21's to organise an event soon lol.

oh yes! she's off out with her mum today, just waiting for them to go out and I'll be in the garage

Awesome news! Send her out with some money (?100 or so) to keep her sweet "Get something nice for yourself love, and have a nice time" and 9 times out of 10, they come back with something for you!! :D :D

well today's plan is to finish off mounting the radiator and hopefully pick up the the last bit of ally welding that I dropped off yesterday. Turns out the guy doing the welding used to have a 21T some 20 years ago and always wanted a Quadra.

Finished off the mounting brackets for the cosworth radiator, with just enough space to get 2 10" spal fans on the back

Really pleased with the alloy welding, Mark at Brooklands welding has welded on the sensor boss's I made up and also the boost hose and dump valve take off.

So all I'v got to do is finish off the idle speed valve, I'm still not happy with it. Also waiting for my thermostat bypass valve to turn up, then I can measure up for the rad hoses.

a bit of spare time, a sheet of 3mm aluminium and the need to space the brake disc out to miss the ball joint =

half way there, just need to make a few holes. God I love having a lathe and milling machine in my shed!

Looks like your making good progress. I does help having the proper tools too. Sure I've seen that pump and swirl pot arrangement somewhere ;)

Copy cats eh, pfft, lol. Any reason you've both done that? I know it should be safe but I'd be worried about havin a ltr of fuel in the engine bay, plus only heat soak it may get.
