My Quadra

didnt see the boost figures, my bad. Andy, I dont wanna be an ars but that power is very close to the GT28RS max limits.
Your right Jo, it is on the limit of the GT28RS, but its perfect for this setup and application. The boost IS controlled by the motec and its meant to peak at 24psi to get the most out of the turbo then to drop off to 21.6-22 for the rest of the rev range. And you'll probably find the second rise is the cam coming in, anyway to have over 300ftlb from 2.6-5.3K is one hell of a power band

Clever stuff, and i stand corrected then!!. So does it have an electronic solenoid on the turbo then? Missed that when i looked, but then it was stuffed in the back of your car!!! :dizzy:

Absolutely, good effort. Id be happy with that!!
If i had the money, id be asking you to build me one!!!

Optimal power is achieved by reaching Stoich consistently throughout the power curve

Dont do that when you come to map your 21T engine though mate. If you ran Stoich on boost the engine would probably last all of 5 seconds, thats far too lean for on boost fueling!!!

Ideally you want to be running around 11.8-12 ish on boost rather than 14.7 (stoich).

Target AFR in powerband has always been 12 for us....

Theres a control output for Nitrous or water injection, but ive got plans for these at a later date.... :P

ive got the old megasquirter (!) from Craig and that one got the Nitrous, waterinjection and launchcontrol option.

hi revs, full boost: 11.8

The biggest thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"nice anyway, who ever owns that will be a very happy person,"

You're right, a VERY HAPPY PERSON!

Any time John its a pleasure, we got there in the end
Can't wait to see it in the car and out doing what its built for :first::car:

In the spec sheet for the motor it lists 46.6mm Inlet valves and uprated valve springs.

Are the valves from the PRV V6 or a special item?
What are the valve springs and what sort of cost are we talking?

It also lists a 200mm Sachs clutch.
Is this the standard 21T size because I thought they were around 230mm?
Again what sort of price do these go for?

cheers

i'll guess you have a 200 mm twin plate clutch. Thats the max size for twins. Mine is custom made by helix, clutchassembly + custom flywheel, quoted for 2700 € all in (development-labour-materials). If you want one now it will be cheaper because the drawing/program exists.

Yes its a 200mm twin plate, and your right, the standard 21t is 230mm. The fly wheel to match the clutch is an off the shelf item and was about ?240ish, but I don't know how much the clutch was.
The valves and springs where supplied by Ferry developments, so I couldn't tell you where they are from.

Andy
