My Quadra

well, if I don't the cars fallen off the stands and I'm upder it! LOL

Andy

Finger crossed for you mate :icon_biggrin: We should all take pics of our cars on Axle stands, mine has been sat on them for about 3 months

LOL my car's beed in the garage for just over 4 years!

Andy

I'm catching up slowly, mines been on the drive since FCS 2007, it did move briefly in 2008 when I took it for an MOT and it passed with a knackered rear diff and a leaky HG :icon_lol:

AP 4 pots

Thought I'd better put up some pics of these big beauties and brackets

with only 3mm between the disc and hub, I was a bit stumped on how to bolt the bracket on! I wasn't going to space the disc away from the hub so I came up with this

Then all I had to do was drill 4 holes in the right places like this

and you get something like this

I'm very pleased as I'm past the prop center bearing and its only 1-1 1/2inch below the underneath of the car, and its 3" with a silencer just after the gearbox. Because I'm going for a side exit I'v gone for 2 silencers as the 2 1/2" side exit I had before only had 1 silencer and that was like a jet engine on boost!

Andy

umm, why side exit?

You never been in a car with a side exit? FPMSL Turbo lag is halfed, boost hits you harder than a sledge hammer and when it comes on boost.....its like a jet engine! AND it the flames.... best I had was about 2 feet, more than enough to get ankles! LOl
Dan, I'v still got the old side exit, you might be able to make some use of it?

Andy

LOL what diameter is it,

didnt think it would have any effect on the engine, but hey I've learnt something..God I love you guys

LOL!

I was trying to figure out what was different about your prop - then I realised you've got a different donut!

Get some pics up of around the prop after the strengthening plate for comparison purposes.

Are you using stainless wire?

Looking good though mate....excellent stuff

Lee

Yer was useing .8mm stainless wire but I only had a co2/argon mix and not pure argon. Whats different with the dounut? and what strengthening plate?

Andy

God, a prop bearing like that would make my life sooooooooo easy! The strengthing bar that links the transmission tunnel was redesigned when the last 2 1/2" exhaust was made due to lack of space, also maybe thats why my center bearing hasn't needed to be replaced yet?
