My phase 2 Clio V6

Nice Dre. Can I ask what that was you used on the headlights ? Mine are cloudy at the top which I presume is stone marks ? Is it easy to do ? I was going to save up and just replace mine (no one else would probably notice! ) but it annoys me when I clean it ! Top job !!

As been said already great collection of cars. Doing a great job of getting the vee in top shape too.

Awesome!

That car was in newcastle area? It was booked in for belts at the same place I WAS going to take mine too.

Hi mate if was a turtle wax headlight restoration kit have a look on ebay. The process is simple enough just have to take your time rubbing down. I know what you mean I hated the look a dullness very common on these headlights

Yeah that's where the last owner lived. The belts are due in November but the car will be put away for winter then and when I get out next year from hibernation will take it straight away to get belts and dephasers changed and ready for the year ahead :)

:approve: Rusty and Duncan thanks

Cheers for that Dre [smilie=thanks.gif] I will look later ! A lot cheaper than new lights 8) never knew you could do it.

Good job on the headlights. I also got mines done at Revolution Detailing in Bristol. After polishing the guy fitted some Venture Shields which you won't realize they are there and will last forever... :approve: so I recommend fitting these after refurbishing.

:approve: yeah i would love to get mine done to, I saw a grey v6 at ace cafe a couple months ago and whole front end was done such a good idea. Is there anywhere in Bedfordshire that does it Bristol is a bit far to go

Ok here we go - I have just spent 2 hours on one headlight - I need new headlight - I followed instructions to the letter - my other headlight looks mint now [smilie=icon_cry.gif] my luck or am I stupid ? I didn't take b4 and after as Dre has done it already - didn't work for me [smilie=icon_cry.gif] it's taken the rough off of top of headlight but dulled the rest of headlight it's smooth as a babies bum but cloudy all over now ![smilie=icon_cry.gif] balls to it !

Finally got the Vee out and taxed it today was really dusty from being in the garage :(
so I managed to give it a wash and clay today will polish and wax tomo.
I have not drove this car since the day I bought it in February so can't wait :race: got a good few hundred miles to do this weekend in the Vee [smilie=yay.gif]

Looks superb Dre  I hope mine looks like that when I'm done tomorrow ! Does your auto gleam black last ? I had a thread on this whe n I had my phase 1 I have spent an hour on my grills tonight but it will probably wash of by the time I get to Kim Bolton :(

Cheers mate my lights have gone a little dull again going to get them done by the pros at one point. Not sure how long it lasts mate first time I have used the gel we will see on Sunday

Good luck with the cleaning :approve:

Looks really nice. Plastics look very black and the paint looks slick. Look forward to seeing some coast pictures. How come you waited so long to get in on the road from purchasing?

[smilie=thanks.gif] all them hours paid off :)
I have a Renault 5 as well and I needed to bed in the new engine rebuild i had on it. So I knew if I got the v6 on the road I would not get much time to use the 5, plus the belts are due soon on the v6 even though it's only done 25000 miles since last belt change time is nearly up and always in the back of my mind :approve:

Well worth the effort. The finish looks amazing. :approve:

Craigy - I had some good advice from the Meguiars stand at OrigineRS last year. They were very happy to discuss solutions for plastics. Dawn will be at Kimbo too for an expert opinion.
