Hi all, am selling my quadra after only having it for a week. Decided that its not really for me and should stick to waht i know best!
Let me fill you in on a few things (most have prob seen my posts)
Originally had an issue with charging, sorted that out
Now got a problem with cooling....been getting rather warm!! been in contact with craig and dave on here and have come to the conclusion that i am pretty certain its not head gasket. done compression test and figures came out low but they was consistent across all 4 been told it has forged pistons so this could be causing the slightly lower figures. Plus no mayo whatsoever in filler cap or water tank!
I think that i still have an air lock somewhere as i dont have any bleed screws in my silicone pipes (although i rang sfs and they said if i send them back they'll put the screws in for free). but i just dont have money now as i need to move out of my current place by 10th april lastest!!
I still havent run the car since i re bled it again and will do it tomorrow to keep you all posted on whats happening but here is the lowdown on whats been done to it (well what i was told any way)
has one off interior x4 bucket seats
x2 3point harness's in front
aftermarket steering wheel
headunit with 12 disc changer
5.5" tv in dash
dvd player in glove box
carpet colour coded to match seats
ally floor in boot
x2 boost gauges...one for plenum one for manifold
in car bleed valve
in car fuel pressure gauge with adjustable fuel pressure regulator under bonnet
fmic
spal electric fan
been run at 1 bar, 1.5bar and 2 bar boost by previous owner
cosworth turbo housing with bigger actuator
357 injectors
full samco boost hoses
full sfs collant hoses reciept for fitment november last year
larger (txi) throttle housing
forged pistons and liners (so i've been told, holds 2bar boost so must be)
k and n induction kit
full straight through exhaust system
dump valve moved to cold side
new heater matrix with reciept
apparently new rad
bmw 3 series headlights (although not to my taste)
quad fog lights
side graphics (not to my taste but look ok)
17" tsw alloys
recon rear callipers
new clutch 2 years back
strut brace
lowered not sure on what though
0-60 6.2 1/4 mile 14.2
has apparantly topped 140mph which i cant verify but last owner said so
focus rally grille in bonnet (small crack in it from heat off of turbo)
cat 2 immobiliser with fitting kit
got clifford alarm although this needs re setting up as my battery went flat
quite a few reciepts
been very well looked after body work in great condition. no rust at all.
the plenum and rocker cover and strut brace have all been powder coated to match the interior
mot until end of august
tax until end of may
Please bear in mind as you all know these are becoming very rare now. Less than 35 on the road!!
I am open to offers i just need it to go cos need to move asap. Although please bear in mind by the time someone buys or views the car my well be running spot on. I will do my best to sort it in the mean time.
