Movies

Watched a movie on the horror channel last night called Creep van. Good as far as B movies go.some unusual ways on knocking people off using its windows, doors and seat belts.

As the Hobbit book was about 1 inch think and Lord of the Rings books about 3 inches thick,

Surely to make 3 films from the hobiit logic would mean there should have been 12 LOTR films

What a way to make money eh?

The Hobbit movies show a lot more than what was in the book.
The book only hints at some of the stuff that was happening which was revealed in Lord Of The Rings (the book)
To fit all the stuff from LofTR into the movies would as you said, would have taken more than 3 movies.
So Jackson has taken stuff from LofTR (the book and appendices) and added it into The Hobbit, for example scenes from Dol Guldur, where the Necromancer (Sauron) was rebuilding his strength and armies before reoccupying Mordor, the back story of Thorin (covered in LofTR) and his ancestors and how the books are connected, the concerns of Gandalf, if not for him pushing Thorin and Company to reclaim Erebor, The One Ring may have never been found as Bilbo would not have encountered Gollum. The Importance of Smaug the Dragon and how Sauron could have used Smaug in his fight to cover Middle Earth in a 2nd darkness, The meeting of the White Council where Saruman tries to deter Gandalf from helping the Dwarves from reclaiming Erebor, where Saruman discourages the other members of the council from looking into claims that Sauron has returned etc etc
As a huge fan of Tolkien I personally am very glad Jackson has added all this additional material into The Hobbit movies :)

Anyone into aussie car/biker movies? Besides mad max that is.ive a few oldies on vhs that are cool.anyone ever seen fast lane fever, midnight spares or stone?

saw Fury on release day. It's good, been enjoying the WW2 in colour series so it fitted nicely.

Saw Mad Max-fury road last night.been waiting to see this since I first heard they were making a new movie. It was brilliant,a tribute to the previous ones.Great to see the falcon coupe back in action even tho it got broke up half way through the film.

I finally watched Stone the other day it was awful.

I mean really awfull.

I'm amazed he got a call back to be the toecutter.

And now hes in the new film as someone else again!

Yep stone is certainly out there.FAR OUT.i like it for the bikes.Vince gill is in it aswell,he was the nightrider in mad max.the yanks done a remake of it called "stone cold" with some wrestler acting in it. Wasnt too bad.check out "fast lane fever".got some great cars in it,falcons, monaros, toranas, chargers, chevys.wrecked 2 beautiful XY falcons in it which is a shame

stone just seemed to have left most of the story on the cutting room floor so it made no sense.

It just jumped about to much.

I have beyond the law to watch with charlie sheen looks lik it was filmec in the same place he done the wraith

Same story lines, cop goes undercover with biker gang and get hooked.think it was called "fixing the shadow"in some countries.

Watched Lost River.

This is Ryan Goslings directorial debut. And tbh it should be his only attempt.

I mainly watched it because Christina Hendricks is in it. I like her and her massive jubblies.

I watched it and had to read wikipedia to understand it and it its still silly.

Hes trying to be something hes not.

Don't bother.

Although Matt Smith of Dr Who fame cuts off a guys lips with scissors and a rats head and he swears a lot in an american accent.

Bizarre and not in a good way.

2/10
