Movies

i watched City of Life and Death last night and wow it was epic and heavy. About the japanese occupation of Nanking in 1937 (subtitled) if you like b&w subtitled war films with genocide and atrocities then watch it :? was actually profound and moving recommended

started watching something on TV the other day, about Hitlers last days/hours in his bunker, was all subtitled, stumbled across it at about 01.00, watched it for about an hour, then realised it went on to about 04.00, so left it and went to bed, anyone watched it all? i was getting into it

best ww2 movie imo is still Das Boot, again another foreign language 20 hour epic.

This morning when I awoke at 4am i watched some movies on the ipod.

I finally watched Brick, turned out better than it appeared at first.

Then watched the new star trek again.

saw Shrink last night. Kevin Spacey film. It is set in hollywood and it is enjoyable with some good characters and a few laughs.

nope

Just about to watch The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger (RIP) as The Joker is superb!

I cant wait for the final movie in this set, The Dark Knight Rises.

Perfect thread for this time of year...

Plenty of films on over the Winter break, what are we all looking forward to?

Personally, Christmas isn't Christmas without 'Santa Clause the Movie', a childhood favourite enjoyed again yesterday with my own children. :)

Then there's more recent favourites such as 'Green Street', taken in whilst sat very uncomfortably in the middle of the living floor on Christmas eve due to my preferential perch (the sofa) being out of commission thanks to the ridiculously large pile of presents on it.

Bad Lieutenant - Port of call New Oreans

Good film, i expected a formulaic remake but it was much better than that. Wierd one to watch before lunch though.

saw the social network last night
