Movies

a spur of the moment purchase on ebay got me Heavy Metal on UMD for mucho cheapness.

I had meant to watch this for years but never got round to it.

Well the other night I watched it. Basically n animated collection of stories to some good music. Very weird, naked women drawn with hairy bushes (it was 1981 and they hadn't learned that shaved is better).

John Candy voiced a few of the characters so that was a bonus.

However full of plot holes and gaps in the stories, doesn't run together nicely.

Worth a watch? Maybe if you are into animated stuff.

However a much better animated movie and possibly one of the best films ever would be Akira.

ive only seen the trailer and at first i thought that might be enough, but alas it is not, i think ill have to dl it

Hobo with a shotgun does look good, I ordered it months ago still not arrived.

Anyway mofo's back to business.

Hit the cinema, during the week, can't recall which day, but it was one of them

Saw The Thing.

The original film also called The Thing starring Kurt Russell and other cool cats was a spectacular piece of awesome. If you haven't seen it what's wrong with you? Go buy it now.

Anyway the new film is a prequel. It explains the Norwegian base, what's that matter you ask? Well the original film starts off with some crazy Vikings shooting at a dog from a helicopter. this ends badly, if it didn't then the original film would have lasted all of 5 minutes.

Anyway Norwegian base, all star cast of awesome beards, 2 women and a token black guy. Discovery made in Antarctica they mess about and it goes wrong.

Effects are better than the original (the intervening 30 years will do that) but stay very close in design etc to the original, bitching.

A film that has people jumping.

For a 15 rated film its quite graphic. 15 year olds these days clearly ain't shocked.

Blah blah blah, film ends right at the start of the original, same music and everything. Well worth a watch.

I'd even pay to see it again at the cinema.

8.75/10

Just watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Not having particularly liked any of the other films, I actually enjoyed it a lot.

Few small plot holes and glossing overs, but on the whole a solid story.

I watched rise of the apes last monday, she liked it I prefer the originals tbh.

I saw superbad for the first time the other day.

Better than I expected.

She perioded on me

The mrs got an Idiot Abroad, I thought I would hate it.

Quite good actually, the first disc was good, the 2nd disc less so.

They were also screened out of order which altered the flow a bit, he moaned more at the later ones.

Basically Karl Pilkington goes to see the new 7 wonders and moans about it.

Worth watching

Saw that on television. Brilliant. He reminds me of my brother-in-law. Haha

Up to Season 7 ep7 of 24 now. I wish Jack Bauer would just fuck off and die

Officer Slater: So you name is just McLovin?
Fogell: Yeah!
Officer Slater: Badass!

Unthinkable, 90 odd minutes, felt longer.Basically some guy converts to Muslim with terrorist upgrade and gets tortured by SamuelL Jackson. Not bad, not great

6/10

Sorceror, 1970's film about transporting unstable dynamite (improper storage so the sticks leaked) threw the jungle to blow out an oil well fire. Slow to get going then oncegoing only ok. I have been waiting years to watch this film (had it but either forgot aboout it or she never wanted to watch it), bit of a let down. Remake of the wages of fear

5/10

44 inch chest. just awful, truly terrible.

1/10

44 inch chest, what the hell is that, they must really be running out of names at this point, size 9.5 (us) Nike trainer

Larrys 5 ops

1. Bobby removed
2, Balls removed
3. bobby stump inside out = vagina
4. boob job (just one the now)
5. rhinoplasty to become more italian looking.

John Cobretti, what a fucking hero, the best bit is during the shootout when he casually has a beer and goes on to destroy everybody, also stallone really owned cobras vehicle in that film which was subsequently stolen off him and recovered just last year after being missing for a decade or some shit
