Got home last night at about 9, 1993 miles on the clock of the Landie for the round trip, bu99ered!! All safe and sound though.

What a truly fantastic weekwend, would not have missed it for the world, 80 odd laps between us along with parades etc, brilliant!! Tyres now looking decidedly secondhand but gear oil smells now stopped!

In car videos and drive bys etc will be posted once I get 5 mins to down load them from the GoPro.

On a more sad note, I think everyones heart went out for poor Benoit and the damage to his LY, it is such a shame to see things like this happen particularly after the supreme effort he and other members of V6passion put in to arrange what can only be described as a stupendous event, A million thanks for 'a great adventure'

What happened to the LY Simon? :(

2000 miles is a mammoth journey, my best mate who's a wagon driver rang me last week saying he'd spotted you heading down last week!

Cheers for the pics Dan, looks awesome I need a set of Croms. Although I much prefer the lower profile tyres of cliospyders on his Croms

Whilst i was following Ben at about 115-120mph into the final chicane on the very top of the banking, his back wheels locked and it sent him in a spin and into the top armco. It has however done very little damage and only requires a new front bumper, which he has, and a respray. Ben said its a good excuse to sort the stone chips.....every cloud has a silver lining i suppose.

I'll link my flickr album when I get home, with the few photos/videos on. Nothing special though.

He's right, I've seen them.. nothing special, as theres none of mine because all the pics were taken from my car lol ;)

Blake...... D.O. mate 8)

Poor Ben :( A couple of years ago he had the brake pad issues I have had twice ie no pads!! Glad it's only cosmetic damage. I guess the nature of the track does play a part. Time and money and it will be back as good as new. I have to thank Ben cos the first year I went he took me out in his vee and showed me what the vee was capable of on that track and he is such cool and calm driver. I had been out and struggled to find the limits on the track and I guess a part of it was having the balls to find the limits and being a relative trackday novice. A run with him and quickly learnt the speeds capable and took it from there. Same as what Nick Trott did for me at Silverstone!! What is it with LY vees!! Owners are certainly not shy about tracking them!!

I wish we could do something for the French boys. I know it's been discussed before and it's difficult but it would be nice to return the favour one day. Something like Silverstone Classic would be an ideal event with a spirited drive based around it over two days.
