This Mk5 Golf GTI came in for some remedial work after a respray.
The car is owned by a true enthusiast who wanted the car looking sharp, with some nice durable protection.
A Major Enhancement - 2 stage machine polish - was carried out to lift the swirls and sanding marks.
Ceramic Pro Light was chosen to protect the finish afterwards.
The car has been through a lot of upgrades and mechanical maintenance in the last few months. It's running as good as the day it left the factory, only with 260BHP thanks to Revo Performance upgrades carried out by a local specialist.
It was then repainted in it's original Tornado Red.

Sanded glass. This wasn't an isolated incident either

Wheels cleaned first.
Auto Finesse products used throughout the wash stage.

Foamed before the two bucket method wash.

After the wash process, the car was taken inside and dried using warm air and plush towels - then clayed.

Once the paint was assessed it was ready to be polished.

Heavy marks on the boot took a bit of chasing out.

After the first cutting set.

And the second.

More DA sanding marks.

Buffer trails.

And that was the polishing complete.

Ceramic Pro Light was chosen to protect the paintwork.
24 months worth or durability,
Super hydrophobic with easy cleaning properties
Very glossy too.

The whole job was a clean up mission of old polish residue.

2 layers of Ceramic Pro Rain on the windscreen. 1 Later on the sides and rear glass.

Miltek exhaust tips polished and protected.

The leather was a bit grubby... although it doesn't look it in the photo.

But this was from the driver's seat base.

And after.

The wheel faces were coated with Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper.
Tyres, rubbers and plastic trims treated with an ODK Wax product - coming soon
