Thanks james for the quick reply!
Now i m off to find the last piece of the puzzle then...

i was asking my scrap yard if they got a pair before, they said they only got 1 side left, maybe they have shipped me 1 side already, so they only have 1 side...
hopefully he still has it in his yard...

I have just read a bit more, is part 1 essential for the upgrade as well?
will just the part 8 (both sides) work with part 1(mk1)?

any mk1 guru can gimme a hand here before i start to search for the parts?
since i gotta ship them to hk...

but if it is just 129 pound, i might just buy a new one...

thanks!

great!
that's another clue,

so ppl who needed to do a mk2 subframe + trailing arm swap, only find part 8 and mk2 subframe
:thumb you the man james

Bit of thread resurrection...

James, I see you have access to Renault parts database is there any chance you can check whether the driveshaft part nos are the same across both Mk1 and Mk2 v6s - it's the only other thing I can see that Renault may have changed to accomodate the wider track of the Mk2 subframe...

All the parts thing tells me is they have different part numbers for MK 1 and MK 2 drive shafts. Perhaps just different splines for the MK2 gearbox or they are a tougher material?

Scott mentions nothing about driveshafts being needed, but possibly they are needed if you go for the MK 2 gearbox also?

MK1
DRIVESHAFT LH
Part number : 6020011543 325.27 GBP

NEW DRIVESHAFT RENAULT

TRANSMISSION D
Part number : 6020011660 325.27 GBP

MK2
NEW DRIVESHAFT RENAULT

DRIVESHAFT LH
Part number : 6020012422 358.87 GBP

NEW DRIVESHAFT RENAULT

DRIVESHAFT RH
Part number : 6020012424 370.65 GBP

Thanks James - I'd hazard a guess that the Mk2 driveshafts may be slightly longer to accomodate the increase in rear track width because, as far as I'm aware, the swap to a Mk2 gearbox is literally a bolt on with no other changes which would rule out a difference in splines.

It's probably fine Tim:

1) It's only a suspicion that they may be longer on a Mk2 &
2) There's a fair amount of thread available on the drive shaft(s) which would mean you'd still have plenty of driveshaft nut engagement at the hubs
