Mk2 Illiad, 15k Miles £28.5k

The car has been written off!
That was in 2004...

Was inspected 2017 prob when the law changed and had it taken off!! But don’t take my work on that...

interesting, thought it seemed too good to be true...very bad that's not disclosed in the advert. Lucky we have this forum :)

Well, the advert is bit misleading!
Normally you’d say it’s HPI clear, but they put HPI condition checked..

And it’s 3 owner, the lastest owner is the one who had it inspected!
Must of been badly damaged to be written of when a year old..

Pretty lame to try to pull the wool over the eyes of potential buyers like that. Some people have no conscience. Not helping themselves either as anyone buying one of these cars will be doing an HPI check so will see the report there.

Not really, practically a wing and bumper would do it !

No, I’d have to disagree with you there! Cars are written of due to of the amount of damage down to the cars worth!! Insurance would of covered the cost, of it was just a wing and bumper why you have insurance!

Why old cars can get written of for being keyed!

Well I’d hope they’d used HPI as I used another system and came up clear!! Not sure how other systems work as there’s lot out there now..

At a year old it would have to be some severe structural damage to the shell, not just cosmetics like wings and bumpers which at that time had a plentiful supply. Clios have a nasty tendency to crease across the roof in an impact and this would generally be the governing sort of factor, even so a new shell for a 12 month old car would still possibly make economic sense.

When I bought a cat c repaired back in 2009 it was written off when it was only 6 months old......it received heavy impact to the front and it was also creased on the roof above the door edges.
Has anyone questioned the seller?

I just spoke to him was interested what he’d say and he’s now come clean it’s been damaged! But not given to much detail what happened! The car was meant to of been going to Hong Kong then they didn’t buy it, said a top classic car guy checked it out sad it was a good car! But not sure if he just said that as they didn’t buy it. I asked if they didn’t buy it due to the damage just made up a excuse!!

And it’s gonna be due a cambelt soon too!
