I recall the 172 shafts being the beefier splines on the end, same as the 21 Turbo, whereas the Clio poverty (and probably Twingo) is the smaller spline as found on the R5/9/11 etc etc. Usually signified by the wheel nut sizes, M12 for the smaller and M14 for the larger.little thread bump here and I'm not sure if its doable so asking to see if anyone knows @Sparkysparks
I thinking of wide tracking the twingo, front suspension is basically povo spec clio 2 parts. I'd like to keep my uprights as I already have uprated the brakes and have coilovers. Id like the extra track and stronger antiroll bar. Could i get away with using the 172 arb, wishbones and driveshafts on the stock uprights?
Mk1 clio definitely fit. Not so sure about mk2 172 etc though. I think that are offset adding caster to the wheel set up, which would end up with odd wheel spacing in the arch?
Ok Thanks. I think mine is rotten.I’m sure more experienced people will chime in but, as far as wishbone mounts and chassis mounts are concerned, I think they’re the same. The Clio use a different radiator mount, so the front x-member is different. So no real benefit unless you’re fitting the F7P engine too?
The hardest piece of the puzzle is driveshafts.
