Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres

Are these the tyres people would recommend?
I'm in need of 2 for the back.
Also would you purchase them from here or a dedicated tyre shop like black circles?

These tyres are highly recommended.....

I purchased 4 and they were delivered within 4 days. However, you may also want to check out tyre-universe.com as they were doing some good deals on the Pilot SUper Sports.

Did you get the Anazon ones Dulan? Seemed like a good price.
Yes Matt, the links in my first post are the ones. Dispatched (to SGM) from Germany to arrive 4 days after placing the order............

Cheers for the quick answer. Just ordered from tyre universe £129.57 for rears including free delivery.

Just watch out for old stock out of shelf life, they are quite short lived which is why I get mine direct from the importers, factory fresh!

I was dubious about buying tyres on the Internet but after speaking to the fitter he said the tyres were great. One tyre didn't even need any balancing weights. Won't be using the fitter again tho as he marked my wheel using a bar putting the tyre on even tho I asked him to be careful.
My tyres came from Germany and iv seen a few other posts of tyres coming from there too. Any reason they are cheaper than the uk?

If they are fake I got lucky! My tyres arrived from Germany within a few days and as said they fitter said the looked good.
scam adviser scam adviser says they are a new company but 87% safe? No reviews as yet so the rating was based on the amount of details and company addresses.

Sold by Autoteilstore via Amazon.co.uk was just about the cheapest I could find: Fronts (£127.97 per tyre) & Rears (£129.57 per tyre)

Anybody find them cheaper?

Prices gone up a bit since.
Interesting...........

Autoteilstore (based in Germany) who sold the set of tyres I bought via Amazon are no longer listed on Amazon.co.uk. The tyres I received were perfect - their performance on track at Goodwood during Origine RS was proof of that.

The links I posted above now land on listings by Michelin themselves, so will be more expensive than discount outfits.

No question that the Super Sports are simply superb tyres, no question.

Today purchased 4 x Super Sports from Camskill.

205 40 18 £124.85
245 40 18 £135.75
Delivery £11.96

All in £533.16 :race:

Quick question, I'm looking to move to SuperSports after 4-5 years of happily running Falkens, but see the 452 is no longer available, so fancy a change, but notice the rear SuperSport 245/40R18 listed in most places (like Camskill) are the XL variants, is that what people are generally putting on the back?

Yes running the XL, can say it will be miles beter the falkens. This is my second set supersports on the rear, the road holding is great!

I can definitely say that the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are miles better than the Falken 452's - my Vee had the Falken's when I bought it.

The inherent understeer I had with the Falkens is all but gone now, and the on-track performance (at least in the dry) of the Michelin PSS is simply superb.

Cool thanks. Looking forward to it (having the light flywheel at the same time).

Think tyre size wise I'm aiming at 215 40 front, 245 40 rear. Same as I have now and happy with clearance, stance, aesthetics etc

Just whilst on the topic, I recently got some supersports from Oponeo

They are £112 a tyre for ph2 OEM fitment (215 40 fronts) including VAT and delivery.
