This is the first car to come in for our New Car Protection Detail under the new 17 Reg.
It's quite a large Mercedes GLS 350d. These things are huge!
The owner wanted to have it protected properly from the start so passed up the dealership's offering and chose Ceramic Pro 9H instead.
This will be topped with Ceramic Pro Light for it's super-hydrophobic, self cleaning and easy maintenance properties.
The exterior glass is protected using Ceramic Pro Rain.
Wheels with Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper - a 9H permanent coating.
The interior receives dedicated protection for leather, plastics and fabrics.
The dealership had promised to only remove the transport films, visually inspect the paint and leave it there.
So straight from the dealer to detailR.

I guess they washed it then.

I was kind of expecting it though, so onward and upward.
One of the biggest badges I've ever seen.

And super cool puddle lights.

The car went through the usual safe wash and decontamination stages before being prepared for polishing.
The Ceramic Pro coatings need to be applied to a good surface, otherwise and marring, swirls and such will be locked in for years to come.
Tighter areas first.
Before

After

Arches

Has anyone tried the new ODK cloths yet? They're amazing :buffer::thumb:

Deeper marks on the bonnet needed further attention.

Still to be refined.

Forgot to get a before shot of the pillar plastics.

The protection package.

A few satisfying jobs as I moved onto the interior.

All chrome work was polished and protected. Including the exhaust tips...

Hang on a second

The engine was surprisingly mucky for a brand new car.
Cleaned and dressed.

And finished.

I only managed to get one photo outside, as the car was taken away.

Thanks for reading.
Any comments or questions welcome.
Richard.
