Waiting for them to load...But in the mean time great pics! ;)

Are you still on dial-up round your way Ali? :)

You'll have to get your name down for the Lake District meet next year pal? :race:

ha! Pretty much! Steam driven computers!

Possibly, depends when it is. Got an expensive year ahead and a stint in Qatar with work so may not put her on the road...

Dont get me going on memories! I guess a lot of newer members may not have seen these before so here goes a few from WSR 2005 which was about a day after I signed up for v6clio.net!
waiting for the infamous and sorely missed "parade laps"

it was really wet on the day and I remember I drove throught the pit lane on one lap just for the hell of it, set off the warning siren thing in the process and bringing all work on race cars to a standstill while I passed through, and emerging the other end way infront of all the cars I was supposed to be behind. 4 vee's there on the day IIRC.

Ahh.. remember it well Mark! The weather was hideous! I was there in my 182.. parked on the grass/mud where we had often parked since. Soo.. Mr Mark, are we to blame your antics on the demise of the 'parade lap' these days..? LOL ;)

WSR was a FAR better attended event by entusiasts back then. I think I counted something like 12-15 R5T's and T2's.. Numerous A110's, A130's, GTA's etc etc.. 6 or so Delorian's.. where are they all now? Frightened off by the ignorant general public I suspect.

Thanks for posting the pics!! :race:

True what you say about the collectors Shaun, I remember seeing the line of A110's on the day and just did not believe so many were ever sold over here, yet alone still working, same with the R5's. Met Mark W, Kevan Slater and Stephen Dell on that day for the first time as well. Good to know you were there then Shaun. One question, how did you find us? For those not there, we were outside the support car paddock, way off the beaten track for the public only the die hard enthusiast would be able to eek us out. I guess what we have now is the other extreme, a centre ground between the 2 is maybe what is needed.

Ahhh.. maybe I was one of those die hard enthusiasts lol. I found you all by chance really, wanting to look around all that the day had to offer. I think I met Mr Dell too that day, though I didnt know who he was at the time. Didn't he have that GTA convertible there for the day? I remember having quite a long chat with the mature owner of a VERY tidy light metallic blue GTA with a private plate.. pointing out to me all the various differences of the GTA models.. real nice guy. I also recall meeting an Oriental lady with an Illiad 255 selling various v6 pictures, memorabilia etc. All seemed a tad sureal for some reason at the time.. lol Some sort of 'middle ground' would be good, if it could be achieved!

Nice to see some pic's of the old girl................ she will be missed! [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Here's a few more form my collection.
Enjoy :)

Lythams always nice. Didnt help we convoyed down the sea front on a bank holiday. So funny seeing people being sick in the street at 3pm outside the Manchester pub. Know what you mean about nerve wrecking.. Windows up all the way just about!
