i love to tinker, very tempted to do so yeah. though looking more for a complete engine so i can have the head pistons and rods out of it, turbo clio (mk2) is still one i havent ticked off the list.
@Red21 or @quadrastu might know more in-depth, but I would say it makes sense for the base block and heads to be the same, with different cams, turbo and engine map.

if the manifold is the same, and i think it is a turbo swap would be easy, slap in a a 172/182 inlet cam, 250 turbo and would be well on too 280bhp with ease. obviously alot more involved than that but you get the jist
cams, turbo, injectors and pistons are different. might aswell put 225 pistons with old style F7 rods in your current f4r engine. old style F7 rods are forged and way beefier.
would need to disable vvt with the 225 pistons though as they don't have valve cutouts...
