Megane Megane 225 suspension colour codes

I have been trying to find out how the different types of shocks and springs on the 225/cup/r26 are identified.

Is there a guide anywhere explaining the coloured paint dots/stickers on the shocks and springs?

If not, could people post what type of car they have ie. Ph1 or 2, cup, cup pack, r26 etc. and the colour of the markings on their suspension, it might be useful information to have.

I have a September 2006 ph2 225 CM1V which I believe means cup pack fitted. It also has the EPACKP option on the build sticker.
I have front shocks with yellow stickers and front springs with yellow dots?
Rear shocks have green stickers, springs have red dots?

Anyone know what this means?
Thanks
Dave.

I see on renault parts direct that they have the yellow sticker shocks shown as non cup, but in the thread below it mentions fitting cup chassis shocks and the yellow stickered ones are shown?

Could people post up there combos and it might shed some light on the subject.

Cup and cup pack and R26 are the same damper and spring as far as I know.

R26 had a stiffer rear beam, larger hubs and a bigger rear ARB.

I went through all this when I wanted parts for my 175

Thats handy to have in the one post, thanks.
I have, as said above a late 2006 225 thats a type CM1V which is supposed to mean 3 door with cup pack but it seems to have none cup shocks and springs. I understand these might have been changed at some point, (all the springs seems in excellent condition).
I have my build sheet and it doesn't have the "addition to sport pack" or "extreme pack addition" that seems to signify the cup pack? Traction control comes back on at 30mph, but i think i have the 25mm master cylinder? (it has a "25" cast into it).

So im wondering if the CM1V type actually does mean with cup pack?

I've gotten onto renaultsport to see if they can shed any light on the subject and am awaiting a reply.

What part numbers are the dampers?

My car is a CM1N or M. Can't tell from the stamp. But it's a 175 Sport although now rides in OE 175 cup dampers and Eibachs.

This is my understanding.

Mine too andy, and i read it from other sources too, and you very kindly helped me out with the build sheet, thanks again.
I'm just trying to figure out what the car came from the factory as.

I don't have the part numbers for the front shocks, yellow stickers on them, front springs are yellow dots, rear springs are red dots and rear shocks end with 523048 which are none cup, green stickers on them.
The r26/cup dampers seem to be green stickers front and purple stickers rear, but i have seen cup dampers advertised with yellow stickers too? That was why i started this thread to maybe build up a picture of the colour code/part number combos.

I have been having a look through that online parts thing alright, great find mate, really good. There definitely are differences between the cmom and cm1v, the cm1v seems to be more similar with the r26, but it still has non cup options for stuff so it's difficult to figure out?

Are you wanting to change them?

If they are half worn out you may as well just get fresh R26 dampers all round. Then you know.

RS 175 Lux

Not looking to change at the minute, but i am trying to figure out
a. What way do the coloured markings on the shocks and springs work?
b. If they car left the factory as a cup packed car?
c. Exactly whats on it at the minute?

I know the rear shocks are non cup, rear springs i don't know but they look in excellent condition, red dot of paint on them?
I'm unsure on the front because i'm going by the yellow stickers on them and i have seen yellow marked shocks advertised as both cup and non cup, springs have yellow paint again excellent condition?
(So it's possible the suspension has been changed)

I started this thread to see if there was a concrete colour marking system that ties in with part numbers so a quick look under a car could tell us what stuff is fitted that's all.

Well I can't help you much because I've got the oddball derv version.

However my car left the factory as a Sport Lux and had red dot springs and dampers.

I've just put OE cup dampers on it (175 specific), and they came with white painted dots.
