Megane Megane 225 engine noise

Hi Mate.

I've a strange noise between the gearbox and the engine,where is the dmf can you hear, the flywheel was changed 2 weeks ago, and i heard this noise before We replaced the flywheel. When the engine run idle(warmed up and the rpm is 800-900RPM),You can hear this metallic sound. I dont' know what is this,but if flick the gas pedal I don't hear that.

No nothing happened,this metallic noise is same.

It may be the quality of the recording, but it sounds like a exhaust blow ether from the manifold or upper cat?
A couple of questions, Was it a new DMF from a known manufacture. & was a new clutch kit and release bearing fitted.
What work was carried out prior to you noticing this noise?
A check that also needs to be done is crankshaft end float with a dial gauge.

The new DMF and new clutch kit is original LUK manufacture. When I noticed this sound just started the engine and the car not move, and when warmed up the idle rpm is between 800-900 the sound is louder when the engine is cold...

You will have to check around the back of the engine for signs of soot as a exhaust manifold blow tends to get quieter when warm.
Another thing to check which I have come across is the stiffening bar on the sub frame incorrectly fitted & rubbing on the rear torque bar mounting bolt, but this tends to give a harsh vibration throughout the car.

The DMF is wrong....but is a new LUK...what Dou thing about The Simple Mass flywheel?

If the supplier gave you a wrong/faulty part you will have to ask them for to supply the correct one and negotiate for any additional coats.
The engine is designed to have a DMF so it will drive better with it, a SMF will work but will lose some refinement & may induce other problems.

It was the DMF, now with the TTV is perfect noise is gone
