hi there got a meg rs 250 in like a custard yellow cup version, just wondering what people do there services at i.e millage and if its a rull service evrytime.

Service is either when the computer tells you ( approx 12.5k ) or every year . Whichever is soonest.
A decent independant such as RS Tuning or Mark Black will be able to look after you.
Depending on service will depend on what needs doing

Thanks very much, i just dont fancy leaving it for that many miles, if you get me, its only a weekend car as got a works van for work, but i see you poke to (bignige) well he's farther in law.. The big service intervals always worry me too, but you have to remember these intervals also have allowance built in for over-running. Probably 30 or 40 percent. Engines run so much cleaner now the days of 6000 mile intervals are left to us classic-owners.

Only reason i'd do services below schedule is if most of my miles are around town, slow/low gear driving. Even then, maybe 8 or 10k, certainly not 3.
Your choice of oil and filters will impact far, far more than interval. Stick with high quality synthetics, buy online in advance so you dont get robbed by Halfords. Opie Oils is a forum trader so thats a good place to go.

hi mate yes cheers going to say I only use the best stuff, thinking off selling the car if I am honest< just don't use it enough lol only run one day a week in it.
Talking 250s I take it Recaros were an optional extra? And 2 material coverings, cotton and leather. I viewed a 12 plate with leather Recaros, the deal didn't work so I've been on the lookout for 250 cups and I could maybe stretch to a 2010 white Cup chopping in the Clio... BUT.... Love the Recaro seats.
My 5 month old Meg RS 265 is just on 5K so it's oil + filter on Monday, had to send off for the pukka Elf oil on the tinternet since nearest Elf stockist is a 100 + mile trip !
bonus is tho' it's only £38 for 7 litres of Elf Evolution 900 SXR 5W-40 inc next day courier. Pretty good I think.

Yeah mines yellow but just standerd seats its 60 plate with 39k on the clock but if the moneys right i may get rid, loverly car just not enough time to drive her
Unfortunately I'm tied into a PCP deal with Renault with my 14 plate Clio. I have the settlement figure so my plan is to maybe find a 2010 Megane on finance with a trader and pay the difference between the value of the Clio and Megane to keep the monthly payments near to what I'm paying now. The difference then would be a straight out HP deal and not a final balloon payment.
