meg 225, cone or panel?

Got a meg 225, got a live map coming up at rs tuning part of the group buy, got decat, 75mm stainless all the way back with 1 silencer, apart that I'm standard atm cooler and injectors wise. Got a forge dump valve thou.

Am I better off with a panel or cone for future as I'm gettin it mapped so can have full advantage of either soon. Cone is better for noise so I like the idea of That, any down sides?

Cone filter no downsides on the meg (y)
What about sucking hot air from under the bonnet? Intercooler can only cool it down so much and you lose BHP with hot intake air temps. Unless I don't know about some magic sorcery the Meg is capable of that all other cars can't do... Maybe it's a French secret oui oui?

Not being a smart ass, genuinely curious as I want to go the same route but have always heat shielded and CAI

The airflow through the engine bay will take care of residual heat. When you're sat still/in traffic yes you will pull in warmer air as the engine bay heat soaks but when moving the cold air comes in the front and passes through without actually heating up too much because of the volume of the flow.
