only a couple of small updates, trying to stop spending on it for while

plan i changing the gearbox oil again soon so i thought i would pick up a goldplug plug for it it

i got a welder a couple of weeks ago and been playing around with that, i had some oval tubing left from when my dad made a strut brace for my clio. i thought i would make a brace for where the subframe where the standard brace plate goes across where the wishbones sit.

not the nicest of welds lol but of done it a few times and when its been powdercoated it shouldnt look to bad

think im going to get all three braces powder coated black and also at later date change the silicone hoses from red to black. i think black looks better and more subtle. like my old clio engine bay

won a set of samco ancillary hoses off ebay, i emailed forge before to see if they had any plans to start making them (so they matched my others one). they said if i sent them a set of original they would start making them. so the plan is to fit these send the original ones off to them and when i get the first set ill sell the samco ones on. i think they were brand new tbh

also since i said i wanted to change my red hoses to black a member off RSMegane got in touch to see if i wanted to swap his black for my red. which i did. i also bought the boost hose in black.
yesterday i got new black hoses for the induction kit so ive fitted them this afternoon

and lastly ive bought a radio centre console to spray the same as the other interior trim. and also mine isnt fitted with the courtsey light at the bottom of the door, so im going to take a look behind the door cards and hopefully ive have the wiring for them :up: if not see about changing looms as the quite cheap off ebay

recently ive been playing around with different struts to fit the bonnet. found a pair of struts the worked out perfectly for it

ive removed the dials and sold the decat. never really looked at them and the decat wasnt something i needed.

my calipers are starting to look a bit warn and the dust seals aren't in the best of condition. i picked up a pair off ebay, the plan to get them powder coated and fit new seals

i also wanted to change the rear bulbs to cree ones


reverse, much brighter than the originals

also changed the brake lights as well. when i changed the indicators to the cree ones they were causing hyper flash and needed resistors to stop the hyper flash

the passenger xenon had been flickering every now and then, so i thought id try new bulbs to see if it would stop. went for 6000k thought i would try some ebay specials at first, i think one must have broke on the way over from china so i bought another set this time from a seller in the uk £18.99. fitted a pair of osram cool blue full beam at the same time

and lastly a few months ago i sent forge motorsport my ancillary hoses when i fitted my samco ones. fast forward a few months i remembered i sent them so i gave them a quick email to see if they had been done. they emailed back saying they were made and which colour did i want. then on friday i got them

finally got my hands on a short shift linkage from lee boardman, really helpful with any question i had about fitting it as well! at first i was a bit unsure about it but now ive got use to it i really like it

also got the bracket from renault which stops the bulk head mat from sagging, i do need to glue it in a few places where it has come aprt, will fit it this weekend

i got in contact with Andrew (snappy) who does most of the clio steering wheel retrims about new seatbelt buckle covers. i wasn't really happy with the fitting of the original ones i bought off ebay. i sent him one of the covers and plastic casing of buckle and he made up a pattern for it. the ones he sent back are way way better than the one i sent to him. very happy with them!!

done a few bits to the interior, first i got hold or a spare gearknob insert, sprayed red for the number then went over it with the anthracite and did the same with the glovebox trim

i also sprayed the handbrake trim and button and lacquered the doors badges

the original inlet i had powder coated went funny, so i sourced a new one and while it was off i finally got round to fitting the PTFE gasket i bought

the window switch went wrong the other day and it decided to open the window by it self while i was in work, but luckily they came and told me. god knows how long it had been open though. so new switch was bought and i haven't had any more problems

also i noticed rear discs were low so ive bought new ones. i went with the solid discs found on the DCi175 meg so it matches the front. i went with studs on the discs as well, painted the centre of the disc so it stops rusting

and lastly ive bought new wheels for it, there 18" oz F1's. i do think they need to be anthracite and lowering a bit, got the refurbished brembo's and goodridge hoses put on at the week as well

and hopefully tomorrow i pick up the front bumper from getting resprayed to fix the paint on the passenger side fog light. also got them to fill in the headlight washers

and i bought a second hand for recirculation valve, i bought a service kit to replace the o rings and the piston. the pistion i received wasn't the same as the one in the valve so i sent a email to forge to make sure they had the right piston. they informed they had improved the valve and would send out a new one(i thought they would send out a new piston) i got the parcel and it turned out to be a whole new valve, which really surprised me. top service from forge!!!

i went with the RS-Racing 2.75 decat so its the same size as my milltek exhaust

because i dont know a friendly MOT tester, i thought a would buy a sports cat and add it to the centre section. i bought a second hand sports cat from ebay and a new milltek centre section. i made the middle bit removable so you can swap between the sports cat and straight though pipe with V-band clamps
