Mars Red Phase 1 on EBAY 18,000 miles

Stick some ph2 18's on that and remove the pillar covers and it would be a beauty!

Best colour by far

Looks a nice car :salut:

Wheels don't look too bad and as others have said easily changed!

I'd be interested to know why it needed a top end rebuild at such a low mileage?

I thought that too oddly enough

I'd deffo want to know about warranty too on that work, does make me wonder too, that includes all the gasket, valves etc right?

From what I understand a top end rebuild should essentially be rebuilding the cylinder heads so new valve stem seals, a general de-coke and refitted with new gaskets....

hi i like the wheels maybe cause its my car
the top end was done due to the car being sat for a while and being started but not ran causing an exessive carbon build up on the valves ,the valve seats were recut the valves reground and new valve seals along with all the gaskets, this was all done along with a cambelt and tensioners

any questions fire away
thanks Barry

An absolute beauty which would look epic with a set of Mk2 wheels on, much prefer Mars to Iceberg myself. Anyone after a MK1 won't go wrong with this [smilie=yay.gif]

Hi Barry welcome to the forum pal.

Have you just bought this or are you selling it (sorry if I've missed something)

If you're selling I'd keep it :race: :approve:

Hi and welcome Barry , I was the one that passed you the forum details on eBay the other day , good luck with the sale m8 and like I say nice car :welcome:

Thinking I should keep it ,I'd probably tone down the exhaust maybe to a standard one or something a bit quieter
Can anyone recommend one or does anyone want to swap a loud exhaust for a standard one

I had to go down this route, Barry. I found the QS noise difficult to live with.
Your best bet is to acquire an OEM backbox via the "WANTED" section and sell the QS seperately (maybe even on ebay). :approve:

Definitely worth keeping. Might be easier to sell (next time around) with OEM 17" wheels too. They're usually available for buttons.
It goes without saying that OEM 18" wheels would look outstanding... a bit pricier though!

Can you swop between a standard PH1 & PH2 back box ?

If so I could lend you a PH2 Back box until you sort one if that helps ?

Cheers,
Hoogi
