Manifolds and sports cats

Currently have a 'spike' system. So no secondary cats, but standard primary cats and standard manifolds.

Has anyone upgraded these parts running a spike exhaust with success?

Engine out soon and thinking of making the change if possible?

Presume there would be a small performance gain and our primary cats will fail at some point, mine having now done 50k

Your thoughts appreciated
Thanks

I have the mk1 janspeed manifolds with sports cats fitted to a spike rear exhaust there is a bit of fab work to make them fit no real big gains felt bit more noise not worth the money and would only fit them with the engine removed as they are a pig of a job with engine in (which I did)

I possibly have a plan in the pipeline...!

Mulgari (Ben) had built himself manifolds copied from one side of a TWR development one - Im sure there is a picture of them somewhere on here when he installed?? Anyone locate it please?

Just awaiting a price to reproduce them ;) doubt they will be cheap...

They fit under the standard heat shields and fit the the standard primary cats, so no need to spend ages trying to make them fit!

They could also be used in conjubction with 'Spikes' exhaust :)

Watch this space!

Am told very restrictive and old cast iron units of course. Not 100 percent sure yet if am improvement but can only assume so given bens car ran very good figures...
I will find out more once I have established a cost..
