Best description I can find (relates to Ph1 but imagine it's the same in Ph2) :

the one mounted to the rear bulkhead panel by the fuel tank purge solenoid

There's plenty of hope ........

Formula 1 and global partner ARAMCO are targeting an introduction of 100% sustainable fuels by the middle of this decade, as part of the move towards being Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It’s an ambitious target, but one which could have a huge impact on both the sport and the larger world of transportation........... there’s still plenty more life in the internal combustion engine yet.

New light weight flywheel and uprated clutch today !
Was good to drop out the engine and box and have a good check round ( it's had two years of use now ! ).
All seems to be holding up very well with no issues.
All up weight is now down to 1285 Kg.
Holding back on the limited slip diff. for now.......not in the mood for a gearbox rebuild. Will probably add that in
when I get on with the fully adjustable suspension set up

Completely reconfigured the rear gearbox mounting to clear the way for a better exhaust system, the idea being that with the exhaust valve open it's okay for a noisy 105dB track day and with the valve closed, for road use and the quieter 98dB track use. Fingers crossed that I can get it right this time, on the plus side a fair bit of weight saving. Photos to follow.

I'm really excited to have the light flywheel the engine should now perform as intended, first indications are positive !

Only just got round to giving this car a little more time.....
Flywheel and clutch are performing as expected, sharper on throttle response and clutch clamping up well.
We've now had a brake overhaul and are running 'yellow stuff' pads, which seem to have improved braking performance considerably. Not yet track tested.
BC coil overs are on with geometry set the same as the previous koni setup for initial comparison, ride quality is pretty much the same as OEM (with dampers backed off) and i'm more than pleased with the initial results.

Yellows are best under hard use, i'd run reds for a (mainly) road car. Yellows really need decent heat to work properly. Once they do though, really good. Never had any fade or problems in the 21 and that got absolutely hammered.
