Sounds good Ed, and looks like it goes as well :approve:

Yes going well, I had a small issue with the intercooler pipes where they go through the rear bulkhead (trying to be too clever) but have replaced these and it now attains it's full 2 bar boost ! You can hear in the video that when it first came on boost it's now breaking traction so LSD looking essential ! I still have a standard flywheel and clutch which seems to be holding up remarkably well but more to come once I lose some of that rotational mass !
So it's almost there and basically pretty much everything I was hoping for.

Indeed, looks like a lightweight flywheel and LSD are required to complete the package, and make it a bit of a beast - has it been on the dyno yet?

Going for a comp. clutch too, or will that make it a bit of a handful for road use?

Will you be attending any meets/gatherings this year? (hint, hint) ;)

Competition clutch for sure but looking like a single plate. (RCM do a must have radial release bearing conversion !)
Not planning on dyno yet, need to be sure on exhaust configuration (currently mapped for an open pipe) will probably end up with switchable maps.
Anyhow no rush now it's mobile, It's handy to be able to get it in and out of the garage and we'll see how it evolves whilst collecting a few parts together for later in the year.
I probably should concentrate on 'other things' for a while.
Meets / gatherings, I like to think I will.

Thanks for sharing the clip Ed! Sounds great. :race:
Does sound nice, but I also found the relational movement of the suspension, exhaust and engine/box quite interesting too!

It’s looking very well.

The Subaru components look a bit weird... mats & gear knob are freaking me out a little.
However they are a good nod to its innards! : )

I think I’d go neutral...

What was the difference in weight between the 4-cyl boxer turbo and the V6?

Did you manage to lower the centre-point of gravity much?

Is the turbo progressive or old-school laggy?

Is there a diff or traction control?

(I will scroll back to re-read the whole thread for answers...)

Mats I just chucked in for fun but the gear knob is staying :)
