MAD

Hi Brett, yes still the converted 4wd. Had a couple of gear cables made up so I gained a bit of enthusiasm to get out into the cold garage.

Wasted a few hours today cutting the engine loom and fitting plugs !
After failing to find a secondhand loom I decided I wanted to stick to my original plan of being able to put the vee back to it's original state. So now I've separated the loom into the bits I need and can just plug the redundant bits back in if I ever refit the V6, which is very unlikely but it seemed a shame to destroy the loom.

Jumping the gun a bit now, this is the graph for my final fit 2.5L engine which I have just waiting to go in the car !

I still have to get the car on the road with it's interim 2.0L engine.
Gear change, cooling and fuel all sorted, still a bit on the electrics and layout of exhaust / silencing to go.

Not much progress on this, too much other stuff going on !
Have found the time to run the 2.5L engine in a WRX wagon, it made 502 bhp now backed off to about 475 with a sports CAT and road legal ! It's brutal and I now can't wait to get on with it. :race:

Exhaust at last ! I think getting this in with a CAT and two silencers took longer than fitting the engine.

Whoopee ! Now have 475 bhp in the back of my vee, pulled out the 2 litre and have gone with the 2.5 !
Made further subframe mods for rear gearbox mount, strengthening and pick up points for rear track rods.
Remade and fitted up the diffuser which has worked out really well and everything is tucked in neatly within the rear bumper line.
Still waiting on Simon for rear radius arms ?
Downside, I now have to make new equal length headers, sort out a remote oil filter and yes practically start all over with the wiring !

Will group A or WRC manifolds work? A very close friend of mine has worked on and developed the very best Subaru’s for Mr Richards ie Prodrive. From the Lagacy with Ari to 555 with Colin. I can ask if he has anything laying around if you like?

Thanks Brett but nothing i've seen from 'any options' will do the job. Sort of quite looking forward to fabricating them as there is more room to play around with the up pipe. Bit of job satisfaction too !

Some progress....
Exhaust all done, Remote oill filter and oil cooler sorted now working my way through things like power steering, air intake, fuel pressure regulator etc. etc. due to the different layout of the later engine. I think it looks quite good from the rear [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

That certainly looks the business. :approve:

I am sure the power delivery and torque will make it go as well as it looks......

Well done.
