Yea, I only got a couple of spare dash inserts sprayed up to try and liked them. All OEM liquids has the grey fleck tunnel and inserts.

Yep, that certainly is the case - I too had to double check this when I was first looking to get a LY.

Not just LY that have the matte grey dash inserts and tunnel.. All I.D. coloured cars had them as standard, unless of course leather was chosen. So for the UK, that was AY, DB, LG and LY.. and Petrol Blue, had anyone ordered one.. lol

Ah... Didnt realise this. Why not? Did they think it was too much on the eyes? Maybe a question for Graeme too.

Or.. Additional spraying of components hence lengthening production times!

I like to think it was just one of the quirks of having an I.D. colour option... rather like the colour coded pods that all I.D. cars were going to have until they changed their minds. [smilie=yay.gif]

I'm sure Graeme could shed a little light on it for us.. :approve:

It's amazing the difference it makes having the steering wheel on the wrong side :)

The UK is just a cheap place to buy cars :) For example: it's cheaper to order, pay and import a new BMW from the UK, than to order it in Belgium. It can save up to 10k on a 50k car. And no worries that the steering will be on the wrong side, BMW is happy to provide you the same car as you would get on the Continent. You just have to go and pick up it up.

Same for any secondhand hot hatch, like the Golf R32, RenaultSport Clio, .. . If you can get over the fact that the steering is on the wrong side, why not? Especially for a weekend toy or track day car it doesn't matter that hard. And also don't forget that the Euro is currently very strong against the Pound. Current rate is 1£ = 1.16€ if I'm correct.
