hi guys! Havent been on for awhile been busy with all kinds of things but the clio has delevoped a problem, in first it will rev right round to the limiter but 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th it wont go past 5500rpm feels like something is restricted, has anyone else had this problem or has anyone any ideas what it might be?
cheers all
Howard

was just bout to say same thing, would spark plugs effect it? or any filters?

plugs, filters, dizzy cap, rotor arm, oil in plug wells, leads, etc..fuel filter,

sounds like it could be plugs or leads! Also check dizzy cap for cracks and rotor arm for wear! If all seems ok check leads and fuel filter aswell :D

it was properly servived about 8k ago, it had an oil change about 6 weeks ago but no filter change. ive had the plugs out and cleaned them, had the fuel filter off emptied that, the fuel was clean and ive even tried driving it without the k&n on but on ov this made a difference.

mine did something like this but i just changed my ecu and it solved it lol

could be coil tdc sensor etc..difficult to tell

what type of fuel filter do you have as emptying won't achieve anything..

its just a standard fuel filter, emptied it to make sure it wasnt bloked at all.

i did think it cuold be ecu related myself

Bearing in mind mine has brand new ht leads, coilpack, plugs, dizzy and rotor, fuel filter, oil filter

all in the last 6 months
so unless urs has had this i would advise to get it done

i had just fixed an oil leak and just put some fresh oil in it because i didnt have a filter and didnt think to buy one.

changing the oil but not changing the filter was a complete waste of your time and money...

better if you did the filter than the oil lol...
