Loltus Exige

Update 2 in a short space of time :

It appears that the lotus exige s2 ( and most lotus ! ) use a EFI T4 ECU, the later versions use a T4E. See EFI Technology S.r.l. - Euro4

Apparently its a very capable ECU. Its just locked.

I am talking to a company - HPE Automotive who are very well regarded about acquiring the software so we can remap correctly rather than use a lot of the stock flash maps that are out there. I find those a bit scary.

I guess I am going to have to be patient for a bit longer.

Custom map will be a big plus! Not sure the ratio of pedal v tb map but found on the audi conversions a 1:1 ratio was a really good tweak. In fact the standalone ones done on the zlet also was better in driving / managing torque low down
 
I am nervous about generic flash maps. Apparently I can pop into Lotus and have them flash just about any variation of software on my car. However, I have no idea what it will do or if its safe.

Going to pop to Pauls @ RStuning to get it looked at to check for potential grenading and await what Dan can extract from EFI Italy regarding the ECU.
 
Be careful of the rain. Might be differnet on the S2 with the Toyota but on the S1 if you leave it out in the raing the plug holes fill with water and it runs like a bag of spanners.
 
Some track footage. Mini Cooper S i was chasing has fancy pants Penske Dampers uprated pulleys and internals and is supposedly running 260 BHP vs My 140. ;)

As long as your not on the green organic bit its fine :)

Im Running Yokohama AD08R at 20 psi - although that was the final hurrah for that particular set of fronts. The inside shoulder had run out of tread after that. I have replaced them with more of the same. Last couple of session it had been understeering a bit more than ususal so hopefully the new fronts will restore the balance. May do another on Saturday morning as there is a 4 hour open pitlane on in the morning
 
Getting this charge cooler on is a bloody nightmare!

Some parts weren’t delivered, and it won’t fit the current manifold.

Two , well three options.

1) return it for full refund
2) get a mani made up
3) purchase the exige S Parts to make it fit.

Option 2 and 3 are reassuringly expensive

Andy is this a dual pass mod needed on oem charger water setup or no cooler at all on current setup?

Have to say Andy you have great taste in cars, loved the C63 and this looks a lovely thing too, always liked the S2 Exige so much nicer than a phase 1.
