I love seeing massive images of your hub!!

That lad needs to see a doctor quickly, he has sliders and socks on!!! I'll pay for the treatment.

It is optional if you view this thread Lee.

I like to read about your trials and tribulations - just the images take all 24" of my monitor and the page chases itself up and down while it loads.

You are not down with the Yoof any longer. This is the now the GOAT look.
Ha! Its really not.....

I have now changed the hub. I had ordered new hub bolts and got them earlier in the week.

I undid the old ones and left them a few mm proud and went round hammering them in turn. The hub eventually came out.

Cleaned it up and put the new one back in again.

Now I know how to do that one , I might just change the nearside just because.

Not a great deal to report other than I backed the car out of the garage and ran it upto temperature.
Then quick detailer on it to remove the dust and put it back away. Its not a perfect car in terms of paint with stone chips and marks but its not bad.

The ignition has sorted itself after my intervention which I am delighted about.

The 2zz suffers from cam bolt lift wear and the paranoia caught and I feared impending doom more than a pandemic. I ordered the bolts from Toyota ebay online as my local Toyota parts place is temporarily closed.

Parts duly arrived and swapped out this afternoon.

I noticed no marks on the cam , slight discolouration on parts of the cam ( heat? ) and the lift bolts were marked.

All back together now and no issues to note.

I noticed on a picture that my undertray was looking a bit scabby. Nothing more than surface rust mind :

Armed with nothing more than a wire brush , 3 tins of rattle can black and a little can of lacuqer and some time on my hands over this warm weekend I went about a poverty spec refresh .

I didnt expect miracles, but its a lot better. It really needs to be media blasted and the coating re applied, but for now it will do

You can see a bit of dust on the undertray from the garage floor. Nothing more

have sprung an oil leak.

I noticed a small puddle of oil under the car direct under the middle of the 3 naca ducts.

I removed the undertray and spotted one of the nuts on the sump was coated in oil. There appears to be no leaks though. The rocker cover I removed and replaced is also dry. No seeps.

I drove 68mi , stopped and didn’t notice any signs of oil loss. Only when I the car was in the garage.

I guess I’ll have to get the car in the air , and validate where the leak is coming from
