Liquid yellow vs Solarbeam and Last drive.

As the Vee is SORN from tomorrow thought I would take a drive out this afternoon to Mercedes-Benz world at Brooklands which gave me the first opportunity to compare LY to Mercedes Solarbeam. They were identical. Well to the naked eye anyway.

Mercedes option price £11,000. Amazing. They obviously don't want to sell many as few buyers like being mugged even if they are spending £120k on an AMG GT so it's very rare. Just like LY was when Renault had the "cheek" to charge £1,150 in 2004, twice the price of normal metallic paint.

The GT is the best Mercedes for years and the new GTC roadster looks fantastic too. I wouldn't say no to a new C63S V8 convertible either! (though still hoping that one day the CLK63 Black Series will drop under £50k as that and the Vee have to be cousins. I think I have a wide wheel arch fetish )
