LHD Phase 1 - on eBay for £9K

Appears to have been modified, and non-standard (e.g Orange): LINK

"car its in good condition you can check in any garage"

If straight, possibly a good base for a track car..........

If its the same orange one I'm sure its been crashed many times. Maybe a diffrent car to be fair but not many orange one's lol

No UK #156 is orange and LHD

UK #400 is RHD and orange (been around the breakers)
This one? #156

Phase 1 #156 is still recorded as an 'Iceberg Silver' in the V6 register: LINK
....but does say that it is "Heavily modified".

However, from the photographs on eBay the one in question looks more like #400, but it cannot be since #400 is RHD.

So in your opinions is a LHD in this condition worth price ? For uk market ? And is a "modified" car worth less than standard ? And is remap, induction filter and performance exhaust not classed as modifications which decreases market value ?

I try not to give opinions on 'worth' any more - we have our in-house valuation service to do that.

Daft mods devalue.

Desirable mods might achieve the increment in value, but rarely that which would be reached by selling the additions separately (assuming the original parts were at hand as substitutes).

I don't believe that the car on eBay is #156. Different colour for starters.

The eBay car looks remarkably like #400, but converted to LHD.
It even has exactly the same after market steering wheel. The pods, wheel and calipers, badges are all the same colour as the last time we saw #400 for sale.

Which, very importantly, the last time we saw it, it was a Cat-B - total loss. Note it had already been in a big smack prior to this.

That front bumper is not genuine, looks to me like some one has rebuilt #400, changed to LHD, perhaps to get around the Cat B status.

can't help but think that its been near these two:

But seriously, I have lots of photos of this car over the years if someone wants to see them.

It is cheap for a LHD, but its not that cheap for a Cat-B RHD that had been in a serious accident and converted to LHD.

If you want a cheap LHD for track duties, This is cheaper, or alternatively This one

Wow! That's pretty serious if it is the same car. What are the chances on 2 people doing all the mods exactly the same?! Vin numbers would be handy in this case. First time I looked at the photos I didn't notice the bumper. Ifs not even got fog light holes.

Interesting, so this Vee was RHD when it had its smash, written off as CAT-B, was rebuilt and converted to LHD and now being listed for sale!

May be we should contact the seller and get the Vee's plaque number and/or VIN........

Cat B should only be dismantled for spares and it is NOT to be sold on for repair, Cat A is only for destruction. If this was Cat B the seller is in trouble for letting it get back on the road. What concerns more is if it is stopped by Mr Plod, it could be impounded for investigation and then destroyed.worth its weight in scrap if you are not careful, probably only any use as a non road going track car or for spares in the UK, otherwise back to Europe for it and caveat emptor.

I asked the seller a few questions about the car on Emma's eBay account, this was his reply lol.

"Hi Emma.special edition means that this is sport with orange collor wich made only with special order from factory.this is was English car but from rhd its been made to lhd.yes this is original color and body as you can see the engine its at the back v6.all genuine factory made"

Seller has no idea what a plaque is, why the car would have one, or where it is.

"Hi.wear to be finding exact ? and what its mean plaque I not from you world"

Was hard workingness that convesation ;)
