Cheers Matt list now updated.

Yes the weather is looking nice and settled with probably zero chance of rain - although this is the Lakes !!!

Here are the route details.

1.Ings LA8 9PY to Pooley Bridge CA10 2NP

2.CA10 2NP to Eamont Bridge CA10 2BX

3.CA10 2BX to Sportsmans Inn, Troutbeck (Lunch stop) CA11 0SG

4.CA10 OSG to Wheatsheaf Inn, Lorton CA13 9UW

5.CA13 9UW to Honister Slate Mine, CA12 5XN

6. CA12 5XN to Keswick CA12 4JP

7.CA12 4JP to Waterhead Bay, Ambleside LA22 0ES (Evening Meal)

If we have the time and folk want to do it, there is an extra loop which will take about an hour that can be done, this takes in Coniston Water and Windermere returning back to Waterhead, I guess we can decide that on the day.

Meet at Ings services on the A591 at 11.00 (if approaching from the south it's a left turn just before the petrol station)

Looking foward to it now

Cheers,

Phill

Cool, cheers Phill. We never get time for the optional Coniston route so would be fab if we do this year as some lovely roads over that way, time permitting of course. See you Saturday :race: 8)

I think I'll write the route down this year....just incase someone decides to get lost....again.

My mates coming over with me and has his gopro and camera on charge :)

Only thing is we have to leave about 4ish, we have plans for the night. But looking forward to the day nevertheless.

Is there V-Power available on the route?

Ings isn't a Shell garage definately (possibly Esso), there's a Shell garage in Kendal though before you get to Ings if you want to fill up there.

I remember we had to stop for fuel on-route last year in Keswick and to be honest it isn't that easy when there's 15 to 20 cars in a convoy !!!!

Yea, it's an Esso at Ings Petrol Station. There is a Shell garage just off Junction 34 of Lancaster M6 that do V-Power. The Keswick one that we tried to stop at was a nightmare lol. We blocked the full road last year and annoyed quite a few people on a Saturday afternoon, so prob not the best option this time round lol.

Shell (Uk) Ltd
Caton Road
Lancaster
Lancashire
LA1 3PE

Ps - I'm happy to meet anyone who wants to at the Holiday Inn on Caton Road in Lancaster to fill up. Say around 10 and then on to Ings.

Was it the Holiday Inn last year? If so that might not be a bad idea Matt. I'm meeting d7ve_b at Forton services on M6 just before Lancaster turn off so may meet you there :approve: You setting off from Lancaster then Matt?

Hi pal, sounds good. I'm in Preston so setting off from there in the morning. Give us a text tomorrow if you want. I'll prob get petrol in Lancaster so yes, holiday inn like last year,s ay around 10am so we can get to Ings on time. :approve:

Yea, thats fine. Still have to come off at Caton Road though for petrol so means stopping twice that was all.

What time at Forton, pal?

Just thinking it would be easier to fill up first and also for d7ve_b to meet us at services ;)

Spoke with d7ve the other day and we said 10:15 at Forton :approve:
