Laguna help

hi guys

I just bought my mum an 03 Laguna 1.9 dci her focus is on its last legs and this seemed like a decent motor. It's had a belt change not long ago and plenty of history. No advisorys on last MOT.

I took it out for a test drive everything's fine and I was happy with it so bought it.

Only when I was driving home and thought I'll give it some to see how it goes did I find a fault. When I was in 5th the revs shot up then dropped off as if the clutch was slipping. The gear selection is fine and this has happened twice but not all the time. Otherwise the gears are fine. Any ideas?

It's in for service and a good look over by mechanic tomorrow but it's bugging me so would like to know now haha

That does suspiciously sound like the DMF / clutch issue

You cant tell on the newer stuff when it first starts. The DMF takes all the feeling out

it just over revved and dropped off sounded like clutch slip but I couldn't tell.

How much to repair roughly if it is this

2003 is not not pre duel mass ??

my 2003 laguna is pre dpf

Just an update. Laguna is fine few little jobs to do but otherwise a cracking purchase.

One thing is the key card is coming to bits. How much are they from renault or is there another alternative
