Still time for those with competition lincences to enter the hillclimb itself. pm me for details, would be great to see a vee giving it some up there.

I note there's a Prescott competition school. It fully booked for '13 but hopefully next year....,

I know, I thought about doing this several times in the past but the timing has never been right, now booking for 2014! Obviously a good money spinner for them you would think they would put a few more on to meet demand but then the Buggatti OC are not short of a bob or two.
Its basicly practice that is required, on a typical hillclimb we get 2 practice runs in the morning and 2 timed runs in the afternoon. You really only start to get your confidence going by the 4th run and then have to wait another year to get another go. I missed competing there last year so will be back as a novice this time out.

Relevent entries for the hillclimb:

BRIDGER Patrick Renault 8 Gordini
COOPER Andrew Renault 5 Turbo
COOPER Mark Renault Clio V6
GAMBLEN Simon Alpine GTA Atmo
GARDNER Phil Renaultsport Spider
GARNER Mark Renaultsport Spider Cup
GIBSON Bob Alpine A110
GOMIS Tony Alpine (IF WET) A110 (IF WET)
JONES Kevin Renault 5 Turbo
PRICE John Renault 5 Turbo
SAGE Paul Alpine A310 V6
SEMARK Chris Renault 5 Gordini Turbo
SWAN Liz Renault 8 Gordini
SWAN Steve Renault 8 Gordini
WHEELER Dave Renault 8 Gordini
WILLIAMS Barrie Renault 5 Turbo
WILLIAMS Barrie Renault Z.E. Twizy or Zoe

Looking like a very nice line up for comp entries:

Great to see the list of entries. Is there a V6 Trophy competing? :approve:

Great stuff. Wasn't sure since the list had it down as a "Renault Clio V6"..........

Quite a few R5 Turbos are in the running as well :approve:

Oops, typo duly corrected (T5 -> R5)........not quite the same watching a VW Van or a Volvo load lugger running up the hill

Looks like a few of us are heading up to this event on Sunday (2nd), from Surrey, Hampshire etc, or within striking distance of the A40/M40.

Given that I seem to have volunteered myself to check out a good cross country route can we have a show of hands please from everyone willing to have a good early morning blast? Suggest we meet at Beaconsfield Services - time to be decided, but aim to get to Prescott between 9:00 and 9:15 am, or earlier if you prefer.

Can we complicated matters and have a second meet at (may I suggest) Air Balloon on the A417 just before Gloucester: https://plus.google.com/110331691967962 ... l=uk&hl=en

I'll be coming from SG Motorsport way so J2 M40 is a bit of a pain ;)

Sam, it's quite a sight. Look forward to having you along

Mick if you're coming via Scott's I'll meet with you somewhere before hand as you'll drive past me, Tetbury maybe?

Edit: more than one vee being driven, plenty parked up at Scott's :)

No worries. Didn't realise that there was anybody coming up/down the M4.

Was planning on heading towards Aylesbury, then on to Bicester, Middleton Stoney, Middle Barton, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton via the B4011, B4030 and B4077, which are fantastic for an early morning blast..........just over 82 miles (2 to 2.5 hours) of fun.

Happy to go with the majority though.........
