KW Suspension Kits

Hi guys sorry to revive an old post but I'd like to purchase kws and the prices vary from place to place. I know they are a fair bit more than they used to be but has any one got a heads up on where to look? :salut:

After a bit of looking Larkspeed seem to be the best at 1540.

Any feedback would be welcome :approve:

Good point.

Ideally I'd like the car set up for spring/ summer and I don't know enough about suspension to make an informed decision between the two, its a choice based on proven/ unproven, if I had more knowledge or if perhaps there was a uk rep then I would be happy to wait for RSC...

Would be good to hear others thoughts :approve:

Matt, have a chat with Scott when you next see him, his experience and opinion of KWs may help your thought process.

Cheers Duncan, you can probably tell I'm having difficulty deciding. :violin:

Arnos kits look beautiful but thats probably not the best way to make a call either way

Not waiting for Arno then ?

Hell will freeze over before they're ready! (Pity as they look like a quality alternative)

I believe ColinG got his from Larkspeed. I was about a grand as my old set failed and KW gave me a large discount on a new set.

Matt - I believe it's a straight choice between KW3's and BC's for replacements. (Leda no longer in production).

Between these 2 - KW's have a better reputation.

OEM was a great product but was non-adjustable and no longer available (for the time being...)

Reading between the lines on quality issues - Arno's product could be worth waiting for. At least he's announced a date...

Have you had a bad kW experience Ed? What would you recommend? :approve:

No bad experience but I did take a look at them sometime back as a replacement for oem and decided against them.
Arno's look like they could be a good option but until we see and try them, anybody's guess!
I've just had a quick google search for feedback from someone using Arno's, there's a lot about what's coming but very little or none on how good they actually perform ?
Maybe Arno could link us to some feedback from satisfied (or not) customers ?

Looking at the photo's of all his products I think I would probably risk a set to make up my own mind on them.

bc's are half the price of kw and as mine is just a road going vee would prob go for bc if i ever need to upgrade for any reason .most of the complaints on bc seem to relate to rose jointed top mounts which you dont get on the kit for a vee .

I rest my case

How many others have failed?!

7yrs old, multiple track days and probably damaged by the garage not the unit themselves.

Steady.

I had 3 sets of BC's in my Evo in 2 years. Every set sounded like a bad if nails within a few months.

The KW's on my Vee have been spot on for few years now so I know where I'd invest my money if I were you.

There is some good feedback coming through now in favour of KW's, isn't that just what we need, peoples experiences using the product so the rest of us can make an informed decision. I always try to be open minded and have to say that a company offering a discount when replacing some 7 year old shocks must be looked upon favourably

Mine have only been on Since last April but I couldn't be happier with them.

Not a cheap upgrade, but it will absolutely TRANSFORM your Vee!

Ah. I mistook your precious quote.

Yep. The rebuild costs were going to be c£800 Vs. A new a new set and good will gesture towards them.

One of the best mods I made also.

Colin I do hope you don't decide to sell up again [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif] if you did and wanted to come back to Vee ownership in the future then finding a really good one in a rare colour like you have now would be one hell of a difficult task :violin:

However if you do sell I think putting the car back to standard would be the way to go, then you can sell your mods on here.

Oh by the way can I have first dibs on the KW's please ?

Seriously mate DON'T SELL THE VEE :race:

DOH just realised I've posted on the wrong topic  it must be getting late

Mine have been on a few years now, had one broken Spring which I replaced (both sides) @ £55 a side

Apart from that I've nothing but praise for them, makes the Vee super planted!!!
