hi,
my ktec backbox arrived today.
after fitting, i recognized nearly the same sound i had before with the "normal" backbox. ok, a little deeper.

does the sound becomes after some driving a deeper note within the next days? otherwise i am disappointed.

ok, someone behind me gave me a light while i drove at higher speed on motorway.

but in fact - again - no sound changing within using the box in the next days???

The advantage of a Ktek, I've got it already 2 years now, and it isn't anoying droning when you're inside the car, but yes, try it in a tunnel, specially when you push it beyond 6000, it makes more sound.

Or have somebody else drive it whilst you're outside the car.
You won't be disappointed anymore.

I fitted a K-tec backbox about a month ago, its definitely louder, but not too droney inside which i like. also, there's more rumbling and popping on the overrun. It also improved after a week or so and seems to sound much better once the engine is warmed up.

Last week i used some autosol polish to get the stainless gleaming and swapped the rear louvered grates around and flipped'em so you can see it, looks so much better that way <can't claim credit for the louvre idea as i got it from someone here, so kudos to them>

I've got this straightthrough on my car as per the post below but thinking of changing for a K-Tec cos mine is a bit too loud sometimes cos it definitely drones inside the car from 2-3k rpm!

But I'm not sure if I'd be disappointed with a K-Tec - anyone got a video as I don't want to buy one then have to sell it again?
