Kimbolton General Spamming

Only live 20 mins down the road from Kimbo. If there's enough interest I was considering hosting a V6Clio.net bbq/knees-up on the preceeding evening (Sat 13th July). All and sundry welcome.

Jeepers, that'll teach me for being too busy to log on today [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Put me down for 2014

We would love to go but 1. I didn't see the email in time and 2. We don't want to risk saying yes and then having random bad weather stop us going :-(

Here's to lots of other meets this year though.

My name didnt even make the reserve list ?

For some reason you're currently listed on the attendance list and reserve list ( at 10.20pm 16/01/13)... :s

*Edit: I appear to have taken your place. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

What other sorts of cars attend Kimbolton? Having had a search through previous years photos all I can see are Vees!

Assume there will be a separate Discussion thread like in previous years, but as it's not there at the minute thought I'd just ask here.

Amongst others....

Alfa
Ford XR
TVR
Ferrari
Triumph Stag
Mini
Jaguar
Hillman
Smart
Opel
Lotus
Some old military vehicles
Numerous single car exhibitors

Most car marque's are represented in some form, but these are just some that I can recall off the top of my head.

Sorry guys.. let me explain.
We've been trying to keep the list updated throughout the day from just iphones whilst at work or decorating :s It wasn't until I got home at about 10pm this eve that I was able to actually sit down and go through each post in order, one by one, and re-shuffle the whole list in the 'first come first served' manner as mentioned in my opening thread. In hindsight, it may have been better to keep you all guessing a bit until we systematically went through the posts as I did when I returned home this evening. In addition to this, when the 'First Timers' list was filled, applicants where added to the main list as although the foremost was solely for newbies the main list was not exclusively for those that have attended previously.
We have applied for additional tickets again, so I'm hopeful that at least another 5 or 6 of those on the 'Reserve' list will be able to attend.

My apologies to all that have missed out this year. Its always a popular event, but this year seems to have been even more so! I dont think anyone was expecting the response we had yesterday.

Thank you for your support and understanding.. will keep you posted regarding additional tickets. :salut:

A polite note to all that have been fortunate enough to have made the line up for the 2013 Kimbolton Country Fayre.

Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing you all there..! :race:

Assuming the event is not cancelled again this year due to bad weather;

• All exhibitors are expected to make use of their entry ticket and attend whether it is dry or wet please.
• If your circumstances change, and you can no longer attend, please let either James or I know ASAP so that another club member can make use of your much sought after ticket. Entry is by ticket only, and with so many other members on the reserve list we need to make every ticket count to be fair to all.
• Exhibitors are required to attend for the whole day please. Again, for the same reason above. Leaving half way through the day is denying another member the opportunity to show their car and enjoy all that Kimbolton has to offer throughout the day.

Please, any questions dont hesitate to ask either by posting here or by sending a pm.

Best regards

Shaun.

You do still owe me a burger - had forgotten! Although having to cook the winnings myself slightly takes the shine off of things :)

After an incredible amount of pleading to the organisers, we have been given 5 more passes for Kimbolton 2013! [smilie=yay.gif]

This means, some of the lucky people on the reserve list have moved their way onto the attending list..! Thanks for your patience

Just to let anyone know whos looking to stay nearby on the Sat night:

The Premier Inn at St. Neots (A1/Wyboston) PE19 8EN has rooms for £40 on the Sat night.

Its about 15mins from the venue and the cheapest room I could see, and has a large car park that looks suitable.
I've just booked myself in there.
