I will post more later with pics etc. but wanted to extend a MASSIVE thanks to everyone involved for the efforts put into the Kimbolton meet today. Especially Mr & Mrs SteveV6 for being brilliant hosts and all of those helping out with the 'hospitality' and cooking etc. And yes there was ...

Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux, Gateaux & more Gateaux - well OK it was a massive chocolate cake and massive cheesecake with double cream to be precise ! Thanks to the oldskoolbaby family for that :thumb

Yes the weather could have been better but it was a great meet, very social and fantastic to meet some folks I hadn't met before from the Sarf ;-)

Well done everybody and hope you all got home safely ... The M1 was manic with some real tools driving

was a superb weekend, hats off to steve & mrs steve for organising and putting on a superb day & to everyone who provided food and all those who were there.

was a shame about the rain, but we had some sun too and the gazebos were extremley useful!

some great banter all weekend and some blooming lovely cars. :D

I second the above posts completely and being my first club meet proper i was hugely impressed by the size of the turnout and friendlyness of all the members there.Despite the crazy weather the day seemed to fly by and before i knew it was time to head home :(
Will try to post a couple of pics if i can work it out !
Huge thanks to all who's hard efforts make succesful meets happen [smilie=bowdown.gif]

It was a great day out, apart from the rain! Great to meet every one :thumb Big thanks to every one that made it happen + feeding us! Look forward to many more meets

Was a great day, big thanks to Steve & mrs Steve, and everyone else involved in making it such a great day! Good to meet some new peeps. Was a shame about the weather, but despite that the day still seemed to fly by! Some very nice cars too :thumb

THANKS to Steve & Michelle and James & Dave for an amazing set-up at Kimbolton yesterday and for the V6 marquee which definitely came in handy when the weather fronts set-in..!! :s

It was a beautiful place in such a nice neck of the woods - un-like our 'northern' meets, you southerners have proper 'posh' folk living down there..!! PMSL..!!! Not sure what they thought of the riff-raff turning up there..!!

Thanks to all for making it happen, I myself know just how much work and effort goes into making a meet a success and yesterday was definitely that - THANKS Steve & Michelle, you were perfect hosts...!! Also, a special thanks to Muffin and Shauny - without their help and support, I couldn't have been there  and to my other V6 friends for their  and support.....it was a lovely day....

:D

Hats of to Steve and his family, James and Dave for making it a top day.

Many thanks

Mr and Mrs Mossy :D

Indeed a great day. Many people to thank for making it so.

Firstly a huge thank you to all of you who turned up and cheerfully made light of the "drizzle". ;) Brilliant to see all your Vees both modified and pristine.

Michelle, Steve, john boy ! and Michelle, for their hard graft with making sure there was ample food for all. You guys did us proud once again.

Shaun did a top job in arranging the Vees in a smart order. A nightmare task given zero notice. :thumb Big Dave who silently gets on with helping me and my family out. Without him I doubt I would get to any meets. (or even get away from them) ;)

CAKE. [smilie=bowdown.gif]

Lovely to meet many new faces and have wee chats to every one of you. I certainly hope we can repeat this wonderful day next year. I'm proud to be a member of this very friendly wee club.

I would just like to add also to what Debs has said. A big thanks to Steve & mrs Steve, James and Dave aswell as everyone else involved in making it such a great day! [smilie=icon_cheers.gif]

Shame about the weather though [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Was great to meet some new faces and the usual lot also, hopefully this time next year i'll have a V6 to bring aswell! Seeing all the nice colours has made me a bit undecided on which colour to go for!

Also a big thanks to Shaun for organising and arranging the vees in to a smart order. I think the V6 stand was the best stand there again this year. [smilie=bowdown.gif]

This year was my first time at Kimbolton and what a great show it is! As far as static ClioV6.net meets go, without doubt the best one I've been to!! Masive masive thanks to Steve and Michelle for being such great hosts, James and Dave for doing the club thing with setting up etc, John and Mrs John for their BBQ skills and everyone else for that matter for attending and contributing to the event with BBQ nibbles, drinks and ofcourse gateaux..

Dispite the weather, there was a great feeling of club spirit and everyone messing-in and getting involved where they could. Ironicly enough, quite possibly due to the bad weather itself..! lol.

I'd like to thank everyone for there patience and co-operation in getting the cars positioned as requested, and in such a confined space with what was around us. Thank you! It makes such a difference to the appearence of the stand and worth the agro of shuffling cars around to avoid "the car park" look.. lol.

Great to see everyone again.. both familiar faces and some new ones too! Lovely to see our Northern crew make the trip down south a way, and also make more of a weekend of it with a night out in dizzy Thrapston!! hahah.. Thanks to Muffin for arranging the accom. at short notice and my old wing m8 Duncan for the company on the way up too.. good to see you back on the road bud. Hugs to Jainy too for putting up with me over the weekend.. heheh  So glad you decided to come down.. missed you heaps! X

All in all... just a fantastic weekend, with a fantastic group of like minded friends ( like minded except for maxi.man who likes to frequent car parks after dusk  )
Events and weekends like this make make me feel very lucky and proud to be involved with our little club.

Debs and Col.. sorry we all lost you on the A1(M) on the way back.. We really should get phone numbers exchanged for next time to save all that. Look forward to seeing you both at Hever Castle next month.. :D

Hope to see you all again soon!!

Shaun

Col, something which may help you choose the colour ...

Black/Gold are the fastest :thumb

Martin

Actually, I must say, after seeing the black/golds on sunday and also seeing Shauns in my rear view mirror for part of the journey home I would definitely consider one if I was on the look out! After LY of course... Still not convinced on being the fastest though, most of the owners are too busy cleaning them (ahem, Shaun)

Lol... Aww Debs.. Maybe you'd have kept up with us on the way home if you had a B/G..?.. hehehe

Deb, I think Shaun is in a league of his own with regards to cleaning. To clean his Vee 3 times in one day is beyond me, I am surprised there is any paint left on it

He sure is a contender for Dawns title of detailing queen ...

Thats the joy of owning a black/gold it nver seems clean. I spent 7 hours cleaning/polishing/detailing mine on Saturday and have to do it all again after the rain lol. Still at least it gets me out of the house for a while.

Pete

Did i hear my name mentioned in connection to cleaning? Never!

Shaun won that one, only because mine was so perfect it didnt need constant molesting! ;)

Martin i love your car, i really love the way you have the engine out!

Just to repeat what everyone has said so far really, this was a cracking meet and all credit to those who put alot of work in getting it up and going. Turned out to be a really enjoyable day even if the the weather did try its best to drown us. Also a big thumbs up to Jainy, Martin and Mr and Mrs Mossy for making the long haul down here. As for the gataux and cheesecake, at least I know what to bring in future lol

Oi ya rotten bugger!! LOL

I hadn't cleaned the car since WSR over 2 weeks ago..! And... And... It wasn't 3 times.. the first time was taken in 2 stages as it started to rain and I went back to clean the wheels that were starting to resemble the colour of the rest of the car.. So, that was the 'arrival clean'.. then I wiped it over after a heavy shower at the same time as you and Peter and the guy with the Ferrari! hahaha..

So... nerrrr.. :D

The ferrari guy blamed me as he started wiping his car because we were doing ours. :s
