Dave, I got the info from Lee, the chap who crashed the car.
The instructor told him not to lift off in a corner! I was there with Lee and some other mates in my 172 (spongy brakes when hot put paid to my fun that evening, fecking tiny air bubble!).
I got the car rolling again, the NSF alloy has scratched paint but fine otherwise, tyre still inflated (I was surprised too). The subframe is still OK it was saved by the way the wishbone gave...,the end basically twisted and when the wheel was pushed back the balljoint knuckle popped out. I hammered it back together and reused it temporarily pending a proper one as I had a 172-style one with me at the time, I wrongly assumed they were the same but the V6 ones have a nut on top of the sticky-uppy bit that sits in the stub axle carrier, not the cross-bolt style of every other fricking Clio ever lol. The rad and AC rad are untouched. There is no damage to the OSF, OSR or NSR whatsoever. I fitted a new wishbone and balljoint, and track control arm and track rod end because i'd got the parts there but the TRE and TCA were undamaged too.
Cosmetics, well, the bumper and NSF wing and arch liner had some stick but repairable, the bonnet is headed for the skip along with the NSF headlight, they're ten a penny off any Clio so not worth fixing. The OSF wing has some chips from where they opened the bonnet to recover it, and the NS sideskirt has been clipped by (something) at its leading edge and broken the face that faces the front of the car a little. Easy repair on the skirt. Front doors untouched. The front crossmember and slam panel seems to have dissipated most of the impact energy and this is the only bit really that seems to be a non bolt-off bolt-on fix, but seeing as the full front end panel is available for (comparitive) peanuts it's not the end of the world.
So, I can tell you that the car is still complete, stored and waiting for something to happen (whatever that might be) and that spooky ass gumtree stalker weirdo 182 wannabe bears absolutely no parts from it. Honestly, WTF is that all about. Creepy.
