Kangoo 172 cup

Apart from the brakes the full package currently works great. Plenty of power, handling is epic, uses no fuel really.

I put £30 of tesco 99 in before setting off to Blyton & reset trip. Mpg shot straight up to 39mpg (v6 airbox seems to have improved cruise mpg !?) filled up again tesco 99 at Scunthorpe £40 to brim the tank. Thrashed it around the track all afternoon and still had just over half a tank left, down to 26mpg. Didnt even need to fill up for journey home, its back up to 30mpg and still 50miles on the range lol.

Its been an epic couple of years, ups and downs, 7 trackdays and approx 10,000 miles. With the old saying, all good things come to an end so come next week she will be with the new owner! A little bit sad to see it go, however i have other projects in sight;)

Over and out!!

The only reason I accept you selling this van of win is because I know the Extra will be making a return.

Otherwise, I would have been upset! :D

Should see the Extra up and running in the next few months hopefully. Parts stashed all over for it.

BOLD statement

I prefer tha kangoo

You will soon forget the Kangoo when the Extra is back up and running😉

Kangoo drove off into the sunset with its new owner yesterday. #end

One thing this has made me realise, is never buy an engine converted vehicle as you might aswell do it yourself from scratch. Anything quirky with a more powerful engine swap than stock, will always need fuck loads of money plowing into the rest of the vehicle to actually make it good😄

True , true. Nowt cheap when you start chasing power..

I reckoned it up, and 2-4k would have a made a nice meg setup with custom driveshafts etc. Add on suspension and brake upgrades to actually be able to use it all to its potential, and your in fucking deep for a cheapo project.

Scary how costs run away with things isnt it? I am now working on all project costs + 25% based on previous experience.

I dare not buy another "cheap" car for risk of having to remortgage the house.

I wouldnt mind but you will never see the return on it , and I get its not always about the return but as you pointed out might as well set your cash on fire. There has to be a touch of rationalisation ..

My Extra is the same, theres no budget, and not counting the costs to save the heartache. Already planning a new engine with more mods and not even had this fucker mapped yet😆
Ah , but that ok because

< man maths mode : on >

You can sell the current setup towards the cost of the new setup

< man maths mode : off >
