janspeed exhaust what's your thoughts?

hi what's your thoughts on the janspeed exhaust?

I've been looking into purchasing an exhaust for the Vee, for the price (used) I think it's worth it as other exhaust are alot dearer.
The only gain I'm looking for is noise.

Any suggestions/recommendations on other exhausts or stick with oem?

Leigh, my Ph2 has a Janspeed with no cats and sounds spectacular. Coming back from Cowbridge to Gloucester three weeks back it started to blow, and by the time I got to Ross-on-Wye I could hear the individual detonations and had double vision! Scott from SG is picking it up tomorrow to get it sorted and I'll report back on the problem. I'll certainly keep it if it's not totally destroyed, and when fixed maybe you should pop over and hear it for yourself.

I don't know what the standard system sounds like, but I really don't want to change the sound it had before 3 weeks ago.

There are two Janspeed variants: the standard and the Spike version (which represents good vfm).
Both have got a good reputation.

I have the Spike system and to me it sounds great.

It is pretty loud at around 98dB but not too much so. It sounds great on the overrun, cracking a popping away.

Scott @ SG fitted mine and it replaces the existing backbox and also the 2 secondary cats. I believe there is a small power increase with the system too.

I have had the car MOT tested and it passed the emissions without issue.
