I was wondering, you make it sound like Janspeed are very difficult to work with, are they not an exhaust fabricator and are you not ordering exhausts...?

Why would they give you marching orders?

I think at he problem is that it's not a Janspeed branded system as such. It's basically spikes exhaust and he owns the pattern. But janspeed are manufacturing them..

This is how I've understood the situation, although they definately appear to be getting more arsey about it all.

All I can suggest is to be patient, I absolutely LOVE mine, was one of the first batch. I still can't believe the noise from the outside but with absolutely zero inside boom! It's like witchcraft

Arhhhh I see, I thought it was strange that they had such issues with people purchasing product from them, especially as spike is taking orders for a fair few.

Can't see why they would'nt want to offer it perminently with spikes permission, they must be profitable otherwise they would never have been produced... perhaps just not as profitable as others...

Colin, thanks for the plug, and support.
Just to make it clear. Janspeed are not being Arsey or Difficult to work with. At the moment they have some big orders for exhausts, and i mean BIG. And i must say that i REALLY APPRECIATE THEIR HELP with these exhausts.
As for profit, making these is not worth a wank, there is no profit at all when it comes down to it, this is why there has had to be a price increase this year, the secret to success here is to order a few at a time and wait, these then get built in a slack period between orders, This is why there is always a bit of a wait. I think anyone who has done a GROUP BUY would understand these issues.
Just to make a point. If i ordered these to be made as an "Official order" the price would be around £1000- £1100 per item, with a minimum order of 25! Understandibly, i am not prepared to put my leg in that far.
So "Well done Janspeed, keep up the good work".

No, not yet. I am still toying with the idea of selling the car, I just have no time to enjoy it.

I still have not had a trip down to janspeed due to holidays etc but am planning to go after the 20th, if there is anyone tinking about one of these exhausts please let me know, there are no more left from the last batch and as many of you will recall i have to order a few at a time and dont want to dissapoint anyone.

It's a tricky one for him to organise as these normally need a 'critical mass' number of orders to justify fabrication.

Group buys become harder to organise as the demand becomes saturated...
