I've broke it. Misfiring badly.

Was recently on a piston heads meet when the vee decided it no longer likes running on all 6. I've since changed all 6 coils but yet it still runs like a bag of bolts. Rather smokey too. Smells of I burnt fuel. Has anyone ever had spark plugs fail. I'm thinking this is the next step to recovery. Anyone had similar issues.

Just a thought. When I took the inlet manifold off to replace coils I notices the inlet ports were a bit oily. Anything to worry about.

Not really mate. Pretty normal. If you have took the inlet off, maybe you've broke or dislodges a small hose of some kind?

I popped the computer on it last night. Just throwing up p0300 misfire. I was trying my best not to damage any pipes. The plastic covers over the wires are so brittle. Going to try a set of plugs today. What ever the problem is the car sounded the same before I changed the coils. I tried disconnecting each coil in the front block which made it even worse so I'm thinking it's got to be something in the rear block. I hope anyway.

Could be a faulty air temp sensor. Or it could be a lack of fuel ie blocked fuel filter or damaged pump but then your saying its smelling of fuel so I doubt that.

This happened to mine per post here eg misfire and also smokey

Was the lambda sensors - you can buy on eBay cheaper per my post

Note you might need garage to identify which has gone if you're not changing all four at once

Thanks everyone. I think we've cured it. :) changed plugs today. Runs ok now. Next job is to sort the exhaust out.
