Interior door handle

Szabotage

New Member
Hi,
can anyone help?
I unscrewed the central screw of interior door handle to replace a cracked handle and the bolt/nut has slipped down the internal door frame work.
I have tried poking a coat hanger with a magnet taped to it with no joy.
Removed the door speaker and the door card to track it down with no joy??

1. Anywhere i can get a replacement nut?
2. How does the nut stay in place for you to fix the door handle back on.
3. Any easy suggestion for retrieving the bolt? Just hurts knowing its there??

many thanks In advance

I remember replacing the door speakers long time ago. I think you just have to pull the plastic speaker cover, then unscrew the speaker and maybe you can reach the bottom of the door where the screw might be?

Door cards (the whole thing) comes off pretty easy. Is yours a ph1 or 2? remove speaker etc, all torx screws and the card is stuck to the door itself with sticky goo, this keeps it water tight, pull the bottom part away from the door first, when its free lift the whole card upwards as it slots into the top of the door. then have a rummage around for fallen bit

Many thanks for the advice youtube is very useful.
I can see that the bolt or nut holding the screw has an additional piece to it to stop it from slipping is there a site where i can buy these?
well appreciated.]thanks
