interchangable parts

just an idea i had.how about a thread to post up parts that interchangeable with the 19s?both from other car manufacturers and other renault models. As i found out yesterday some pug 106 models use the same brake pads as renault and pug rear wheel bearings are also identical to renault ones.a ph1 megane steering rack will fit a 19 if megane brackets are used.

astra g lower window seals will fit the 19.only need trimming to lenght.pug 106 also suit.

Driveshafts from my 11 and 19 (both 1.4) were the same length and worked interchangably in pairs as the 19s are a bit thicker.
Also, it's very hit or miss with brake parts as so many types are used but sometimes the rear brake cylinders are compatible across 9, 11 and 19. One of my 19s were the same as the 11 anyway.
Volvo 480 (possibly all 400 series) front wipers are a direct match but different model numbers strangly. That's handy as sometimes you find a cheaper brand for a certain model.

ph1 megane brake servo will fit the 19 with only a hole needing drilling to attach to the pedal.i have carried out both the servo and steering rack swap on the supervan.front seats are a straight swap from megane also.

Lower ball joints are interchangeable across the range from at least 1983 Renault 9 up to 2001 megane this includes the phase 2 renault 5
TDC sensor are also relatively interchangeable only the connection plug and wire lengths differ.
Rear wheel cylinders for a Renault Extra van is also used by Pugeot but i forget which model.

I'm using software named "TECDOC CD" for theese purposes. You can choose the vehicle, choose part and get information about on which vehicles this part is used.
Sorry for my poor english

r9, r11, r19 and megane mk1 are based on same platform. The rear axles are interchangeable (and subframes should be too) But only 4-rod axles can be used with ABS sensors without modifications. McPhearson Strut Bearing and most of the other front suspension parts are same on them all.

r19 interrior lamp door switches are the same as volvo 440/460 so are the 1.8l engine blocks.

engines that are the same:
1.4 8v (E6J & E7J) clio, extra
1.7 8v (F3N) from r9, r11, r21, r5
1.8 8v (F3P) from clio mk1, laguna mk1
1.8 16v (F7P)from clio mk1

jb0, jb1, jb3, jb5, jc5 gearboxes from r5, extra, r9, r11, r21, clio, twingo, laguna & megane should fit (there may be differences in brackets).

ph1 dash switches: r21
gauges: r21, clio, r5, r9, r11
heater panel: r21, clio mk1
fog lights: r9, r11, r21, clio mk1
16v steeringwheel: clio 16v & williams
16v seats: clio 16v & williams (chassis brackets need to be changed)
