Hey lads and lasses

Currently own a MK2 172 Clio, have always wanted a V6, and i must admit i do love the Mk1 mainly because it was so wild when released despite some of its so called problems.

anyway the missus drives the 172, she is 26 with a clean licence, and now the problem.

Nobody will give her a quote on one, she can get a quote of an M3 Evo, a GTR R33 V-Spec import and an Evo6, but when it comes to the we lil beasty, nothing.

Anyone got any ideas why this is as this is what is holding us back from selling the 172 for a V6

Cheers

Matt

Have you asked why they won't quote?

Try confused.com - they submit your details to a whole load of insurers so there's a good chance one of them will quote!

I will try greenlight, cheers. At the moment we are with Tesco and they will not qoute her online at all.

However did try elephant, came back with a real good qoute and well under £900, so that is an added bonus

Thanks for your help so far.

By any chance i have noticed some names on here that are on cliosport.net? and connection

Hi Matt,

Quite a lot of us are Cliosport members. Its not a break away faction, just a little corner to host some V6 info in one place sort of thing.

Hope you get sorted with the insurance search.

Hi Matt,
She should try diamond.com She will get a discount for being a girl and will be able to put you on the policy.

Admiral, Bett, Elephant and diamond are all the same insurance company but different departments and different overheads. They will produce near enough the same quotes but diamond should be best.

We were £420 fully comp, Sarah is 26 4 years NCB.

bloody hell, not being funny but diamond were pants when we got the 172 mate.

However if that is what they are quoting on a 26 year old female with 4 years NCB, i'm hoping it will be much the same for us as she has not got no points or any claims at all, so it has been full since she started driving.

The one thing is, i will not be able to drive it, having epilepsy has put a hold on my licence, but next year it will be full systems go, lol

Thanks lads
