Immobiliser

Can anyone tell me where the immobiliser hides on a Phase 2 19 16V as when I took the ignition/steering wheel cowling off alot of the wiring has been cut into by previous owners and it doesn't look original. Any photos that anyone has would be much appreciated as I am not 100% what they look like.

Also has anyone removed it as I wish to use a Decoded ECU.

the immobiliser is a combination of the plip receiver in the roof and the ECU itself.

Aftermarket ones are normally hidden behind the flap under the heater control panel.
